Hi there wavey.gif

Just wondering how Fall is going for everyone?

Ours are in preschool - 3 days for 3 hours each
They just played soccer for the second time - neither DH or I like soccer all that much, but it was a fun start on sports
Basketball starts in January

These days are amazing in a lot of ways, if I can just be patient wink.gif

SO, how's 4 treating everyone else?

Both Fall & the 4's have been pretty terrific.

The girls are in a pre-K program provided by the public schools. They actually go to the same elementary as my 10yo (and this will be the only time it ever happens). They think they are *such* big girls going to school with her. They go 5 days a week, for about 3 hrs a day. I'm pleasantly surprised at how well they are doing, considering the amount of 5 yr olds in their class (and we're barely 4!). The first parent/teacher conference went well, and so far, all signs point to us starting K next fall, though we only make the cutoff by 2 days.

We have been taking ballet since August, and loving it. They aren't very coordinated (don't tell them I sad that), and I don't think there is a prima ballerina daughter in my future. I just hope they stick with it long enough to be in the big recital in May. I'm already giddy thinking about them in a fancy costume.

How is everyone else?

Hi Jamey,wavey.gif

So glad they are liking preschool and doing so well - mine also tend to do better when they aren't the oldest and/or the 'top'...gotta love a challenge smile.gif

We are on the late end of the year so 4 is just around the corner for us. We are great, love this season as do the kids. Micah and Lucas are in preschool 2 days per week for 2.5 hours per session, they love it. I love it too, it is a preschool within our church so I love the teacher and the messages that are taught.

I started a full-time job in late September so the twins are in pre-school/daycare 5 days a week. Mine, too, are doing pretty well in a Pre-K/Kindergarten classroom - they are also the youngest.

THe adjustment was tough from stay-at-home mom to being back in the workforce full-time. I think I am finally adjusted as much as I can be.

We are relieved to be passed the 3s but the 4s haven't been as "great" as people said it would. We went through this scared of the dark issue about 3 months ago and now they are scared AGAIN! Any suggestions. THey always have been good sleepers esp. my son. But now, I am getting bags under my eyes from them waking us up all night. And they don't even want to go to sleep. Most mornings, we find them on the floor by our bed. THey have 2 nightlights in each room.

Handedness - just curious...are any of yours lefties and if so, does it run in your family? Amelia does everything with her left hand. Jonathan writes left-handed but cuts and throws with his right. Everyone in our familieswith the exception of my dad, who was ambidextrous, are right handed. It just seems weird.

Hi Michelle wavey.gif

Glad you're adjusting to working again - my mind has gone to mush, but sometimes I imagine what it would be like smile.gif

Ours have gone thru some fears, which is really normal, but exhausting! I've been up all sorts of weird hours lately with previously great sleepers, too. Between the fears, the excitement of the season, frequent potty breaks, it's a miracle if they get 12 hours, and they've always been more around the 15 hour mark. They seem to NEED more sleep, if their behavior is any indication, and I know I could enjoy them sleeping more wink.gif No great insights, just keep reassuring them and try to find 'hooks' that really help them work thru it on their own. The preschool they go to is a church-run school and they say a lot now "Jesus is in my heart and helps me be brave and strong."

GL! Can't wait to hear what others are doing!

laugh.gif My mind is still mush...I just keep wondering when my boss is going to figure it out. I use to imagine, too, then I finally had to. I am glad I did but there are some days that I miss staying at home with them.

Thanks for the support. Last night was somewhat better. We will see what tonight brings.
