What are they? How do you give/get them? Can you point me to the right direction to figure that out?

I have no idea, its new to me! but i think theres this little plus button at the bottom of each post and it "votes your post up" maybe thats got something to do with it?

You get a certain number per 24 hrs, depending on what level your membership is. In the lower right of a post is a button with a + in it. If you press it, you give that poster an appreciation point. If other posters click it on your post, you get an appreciation point.
