I haven't been on the site in a really long time, but now that I have high speed, I'm back!!

After 3 years, DH and I have decided to try for another baby with IVF/ICSI. I go next week for my consult, and I'm finally getting excited. Until now, I've been nervous and scared, worried mostly, about having another set of twins. I love my kids, and I'm sure that I would be fine, but it's still scary to think about. I'm wondering if there is any other mom's out there going through a fresh IVF cycle?

I also have not told my family, at all! Last time, my sisters, parents, grandparents, everyone I know knew we were going through IVF.This time, no one does. My family and friends, I think, would not understand. They see me running after the twins (who are now 4) and going nuts, and would not "get it" that I want another one. We will tell everyone when we get a BFP!!

Thanks Liz.

Rachel, our kids are only 2 weeks apart in age! I think I remember seeing you lots when I lived on this site during my pregnancy and for the first year of their life!

I recognized your name. Hilarious that we are both ready again at the same time. I told my husband I can do it one more time. If it doesn't work, it'll just be the two for us. If it does work, great! Feels much different this time around, huh?

Good luck!!! We didn't do IVF, just IUI, but I still didn't tell people when we were TTC because I didn't want people to judge us for wanting another after the twins. It is so nice to see the twins in their big brother/big sister roles, so it is worth every bit of craziness!

Good Luck!! How exciting!!!!!
I have done one fresh cycle and 2 frozen transfers - the only one that knows outside of my computer is my MIL. My husband is a very private person and he does not think it is anyones business how people conceive their kids, he says that the end result is the same and no one needs to know. When asked if we used fertility treatments to conceive our twins he answered I didn't ask how your kids were conceived. Our families would have never in a million years understood wanting more kids ( except MIL) my story is a bit different - I had 3 older kids and had my tubes tied after the 3rd. I really regretted it and so to make a long story short we did IVF. Got our twins and did a frozen transfer ( transferred one beautiful embryo )lost that baby at 6 weeks then moved 900 miles away had our remaining embryos flown up here and did another FET with 2 embryos both of which were questionable and slow to get going after the thaw we got Easton with that cycle. With each IVF I was so nervous and emotionally a mess. I really just wanted one baby ESP with this last FET and then when I found out it was just one I was kinda crushed that the other little fella didn't make it - it was a crazy time!

We attempted a FET when my girls were just shy of 3- we did not tell anyone either! I was calmer that time around and the FET was simpler than IVF.

Good Luck!

I've started my 2nd IVF/ICSI cycle. Just in the suppression stage right now, but should be starting the stims next week. A few more people know, like my boss and DH boss. I'm not nearly as wound up this time as I was last time. I think I'm just to busy this time to worry as much :)

Good luck! My husband would come home from work and seem me nuts running after my 2 year old twins and ask.. "are you SURE you want more?" I did. I hope your cycle works!
