So...last Apil I asked about seeing a hypnotist here.
Here it is, almost a year since I asked, so I thought I would give an update. Plus, well, I'm pretty darn happy. LOL!
Make a long story short-I saw the hypnotist. I went on her wait list in April, and got in in July(18th). My wedding aniversary no less. I stuck with it for four straight months-and followed it to a t. This meant-ONLY-meats and veggies. That.is.it. You are allowed sauces, gravies, dressings-but in small amounts. Well-cut back on the fats basically. Everything you eat-you eat with meat. Everything. No low fat, low calorie anything. Full fat dressings, cheese, etc. Milk is your freebie. Milk, tea, coffee, seltzer water, plain vodka, and club soda-those are your beverages-with no sugar.
When I joined, my goal was 50 lbs and to be in a size 10-12. She doesn't do numbers-and weight is not to be known. You go by your pant size. I stopped in November at Thanksgiving-that was the first day I had potato, cranberry sauce, cookies, etc-first day in over four months. Then we went to Disney World and she says-go on vacation and enjoy it-pack up the suit case and you are back on the diet.
Well, I was off it for a full two months and went back for a refresher on January 18th.
When we went to Disney, I was a size 12. I was previously a size 20.
Last week, I hit a new goal. I went to the store, as my jeans were finally starting to fall down. LOL! And I bought a size 10 pair of jeans. Five pants sizes I've gone down in less than six months. And, I tried my wedding dress on for the first time in almost 9 years-it fits. I was 170 the last time I wore that-so my guess is I am now around 170, which is a far cry from 221 back in July.
I am now training for a 5K(she can hypnotize you for exercise...). I go to the gym every other day and run for 30 minutes or so. I'm now going to add weights, etc to tone and build more muscle.
I am now hungry for more. My new goal when I saw her in January was to be a size 8. I'm almost there. I might want a size 6. But a size 8-I think will be great. Amazing. I can't remember the last time I was there! And, as for my BMI, I've dropped almost 10 points(not that I think that's something really to go on either...).
I of course still see fat. I could lose maybe 30 more. Right now though, I'd be perfectly content with 10-15 lbs. Maybe a tummy tuck could help with the last 15. ;)
