:clapping: Woohoo !! Going tomorrow morning to see it! The whole 8th grade plus teachers are heading to the theater tomorrow to see the movie. I really do believe that the teachers are more excited than the students. Just about every one of the 10 teachers that are going have read the book and we are thrilled to be going!

Me and my BF are going to go but we are waiting for the insanity to die down and with my DH's working schedule, it looks like we won't be able to go until after Easter. Report back on what you think!

I thought the movie was fantastic! Probably the closest to the book of any movie I have ever seen that was based on a book. For people who haven't read it, though, they will probably have trouble following the beginning. Fantastic acting, very believable, and Lenny K. did a great job as well. Won't say much more, don't want to spoil it! I may go back and see it because going with 150 eighth graders was not ideal movie conditions.

Great, great movie. Probably the best young adult film I've ever seen. An awesome bridge for your children between Disney and adult films (my 10 year old is a mature 10 year old I'd say). And honestly the violence isn't that bad - at least not compared to some stuff you see in both the movies and TV.

Reagan and I are just getting into the books. We both read the first book within the last two weeks. I will say I'm not entirely sure you'll love the movie if you haven't read the book?? And I'd say 10 is about the limit age-wise I'd recommend. But I highly recommend it to children and adults alike older than 10. Jennifer Lawrence is going to be a star for years to come.

I went to see it Saturday night. DH and I went with another couple. Both DH's had not read the books, and both joked about going to see 21 jump street instead. We went out in eat before dinner, finished at about 8:10 and was going to a 9:30 movie. We walked over to the theater and saw that people were already in line. Both dh's went to starbucks while we waited in line. There was already 25 people in line.

We all enjoyed the movie. In fact I think since they didn't read the book they enjoyed parts of it more. I think both of them are going to read book 2 now. I want to reread the book, but not sure if i will.

I hadn't read the book, but I thought the movie was good! Kind of depressing actually, but it was a really good movie. I heard it's part of a trilogy! Apparently it made about $214 million on it's weekend debut. I am thinking it's going to continue to part 2 at this point. I'm looking forward to seeing that too!

I seen it Friday, and I loved it!! I seen it with a friend who had not read the book but they also enjoyed it. I thought it followed the book very closely, one of the best movies I have seen where I have read the book. Can't wait for part two!! :)

I haven't read the books, but we saw it yesterday. Woah, it was intense. I was so stressed out! Very good movie, though.

There's parts of the movie that made me glad to have read the book, it made more sense, and there's parts of the book that now make more sense having seen the movie. They did an amazing job of interpreting between the book and the movie I think! I came home, reread book 1 and finished book 2 and 3 in less than 48 hrs for both of them! I'm probably going to reread them again next week. I can't WAIT to see what they do with the next movies, I'm confident they'll be coming out with them, I heard the next one will be next year!

I agree, Danielle, I really think with the success of this movie they will definitely coming out with a sequel.

Just got home. Awesome, awesome, awesome. Loved it so much! And I agree Danielle - the book & movie really compliment each other well. I especially liked how they used the announcers for the exposition in the movie. Great idea.

I saw it Friday. Loved it. Thought it was just like the book.

I'm not sure where, but I swear I read it's already being made into three movies, possibly the third book being two movies? I think I read that somewhere. I may have to see what my friend google thinks....

3 movies is awesome, but 4 movies....that might be stretching it. It'll be interesting to see how they split it up. And it'll KILL me to have to wait for movie #4 to come out!!
