I'm trying to come up with a list of bookmark websites for my girls to go to on the computer. They are going to be 7 next month. So far I have:

Brain Pop Jr. - brainpopjr.com -

Dr. Seuss | Seussville.com - seussville.com - www.seussville.com/
Free Online Games | Big Fish Games - bigfishgames.com -
Starfall's Learn to Read with phonics - starfall.com - www.starfall.com/
Welcome to HighlightsKids.com - | HighlightsK... - highlightskids.com -

What other sites do your kids like, both educational and fun?

Is PBSKids.org too young for them? My girls love it, but they are 5.

We like Brainpop too. Our school has a wealth of information on the intranet.

Other good ones (some for slightly older, and more presentation type tools) are:
- Visuwords: http://www.visuwords.com/
- Magnetic Poetry: http://play.magpogam...Kids/kit/?kit=4
- Storyline: http://www.storylineonline.net/
- Wordle: http://www.wordle.net/
- Big Universe: http://www.biguniverse.com/
- Glogster: http://www.glogster.com/
- Prezi: http://prezi.com/
- ICT games, especially for maths (UK-oriented): http://www.ictgames.com/
- Improve your typing: http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/typing/
- BBC website (British again, but very good): http://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/

Others I haven't tried but we get from school: http://www.rif.org/k...adingplanet.htm, http://www.childrens....com/index.html, http://www.speakaboos.com/, http://www.roalddahl.com/, http://www.toondoo.com/,

There is one that my girls both love to play on, but I will warn you to make sure YOU type the name into the browser...because one wrong word and you won't believe what pops up :woah:
Here
Some of the games are a bit odd..but McKenna and Josie both love the cooking ones..

Lego is a great one too...lots of building stuff, not just for the boys.

Thanks! I book marked the ones i think my girls will like.
Right now they are both enjoying raz-kids.com. It is so funny watching them both play/read on it. The differences in their styles while are that site is so funny. Dani is all about taking the quizing and collecting the stars. Sydney loves to spend the stars on the raz rocket.
