I am just wondering does play doh go bad even if unopened? My girls got some as a gift about 2yrs ago or more but it was never opened (we have so much that we never needed it) and it's still in it's plastic wrap and has never been opened. So I can't open the plastic to see if it's still good because I would like to give it to someone else as a gift. But I don't want to give them bad play doh. So I am just wondering do you think I should give it as a gift and hope it's still good or just buy a new one for them? It's for a girl in the my girls preschool class as they were invited for her birthday and her mom said she likes play doh.

Thank you

Play Doh is pretty cheap so I would probably buy new. Last thing you need is them to open it and it be funky smelling.

I think it would dry out after that time frame.

I thought you were asking about the home-made stuff, and yes, it goes bad! LOL

I think commercially made Play-doh lasts forever but I would buy them new just to be on the safe side.
