Hi Everyone!

Every M, W, and F, we will post a new thread with a different letter of the alphabet. In those threads, please post your favorite tips/advice, beginning with that letter, pertaining to the FY with twins! No repeats please, and be creative! You may post as many replies as you like in each thread.

We will be archiving these threads in the Parenting Twins Information section of the Twin Wiki! The_First_Year_With_Twins:_A_to_Z

This is the thread for the letter E.

Every baby is different, even twins, so try not to compare!

Exersaucers are a wonderful toy for babies to start using between 3-4 months.

Expect the unexpected! Expect to be challenged, to laugh a lot, to discover great joy in small things.

Everyone will have suggestions on what you should with your babies, but no one knows them like you do!

Everyone needs a break. Don't forget to give yourself a chance to be you as it's really easy to loose yourself in the daily craziness. The babies need a break as much as you do... so take time for you and give them time for them! wub.gif

I love children's books. I read many books on how to be a better parent but somedays it just seems that I'm killing trees. Maybe they should quit cutting down forests to make parenting books and we will be better off.

Explain things to your babies as you are doing things... "I'm going to put you in bed now" "I'm going to take you upstairs" "let me finish with your sister and then I will help you" eventually they will learn what you have been telling them and they will relax when they hear your instructions. Try to do some things the same so they get familiar with the routine. -- turn on this light then say this, then this happens, etc.....
Twin girls 2.5 yrs old & 15 month old daughter

Say NO to mommy guilt !!!

Experience new adventures! Don't lock yourself up just beacause you have twins! Grab your hubby or a friend if you're nervous, and visit the mall, play at the park, or start out with a long stroll around your neighborhood! The more you go out, the less frightnening it becomes smile.gif
