Is it mean to still have the girls in their car seats attached to the stroller when we are out shopping ~ they are 6.5 months old.
They seem more comfy in the car seats than they do just sitting in the stroller without them - they kind of slump to the side if they are in the stroller solo.
I think they like looking at me too instead of facing forward....
When did everyone else stop using the car seat/stroller combo??
Maybe I don't want them to grow up!!!!

We stopped around 6 months. DS hated not being able to see everything and would scream the whole time. We put them in the sbs and they were SOOO much happier. We did have some of the slump in the beginning, but now it's more of a lounge which is fine with me bc I don't use the harness yet (just the belt) and feel they won't catapult out if they are leaned back a bit.

If your girls like it and tolerate it well, then do it for as long as you want. We're out of infant seats too and made that switch bc of DS as well. He outgrew the infant seat.

Ours outgrew their infant seats before then, but they still had (ok, sometimes still are) in the stroller when I need to be certain I have control of them. I think whatever works for you is the best thing to do.

oh jeez no that's not mean, just convenient. We still use ours, especially if it's a quick run in and grab something. We also use our side by side stroller where they sit without a car seat. We use that if we are going to be walking for awhile because the other one is bulky and heavy to push.

No, not mean at all!!!

I still use mine, especially if they are asleep. They do like the SBS though, because they can see more and they don't get so hot. No, you're not mean, just do whatever works for you and your babies, because that is ALL that matters! cool.gif

Used mine in the strollers until 9 months (that's when we transitioned to convertible car seats).

Doesn't seem mean to me.

Mine are 10 months old and I still use them all the time. We have the duo glider and it is so much easier to just leave them in their seats and the carseat just straps right in. DH does not like to leave them in the carseats so when he is with me he will take them out of their carseats and strap them both in the stroller.

I'll keep using the Snap N Go and car seats until they outgrow the car seats. I expect that won't be until close to a year old for us.

Ditto! DS liked it better b/c he could look up and see me instead of looking out.

We're still using the car seats in the stroller. I think the girls like being able to see us as we're shopping, walking, etc. So I sure don't think it's mean.

We are still using ours and will continue to do so as long as they fit in the car seats. I love it and they don't seem to mind at all. With the snap n go they can still see pretty well. It's backwards, but I don't think they care.

I say go for it. I switched mine to convertible carseats when they were 5 months old so if you can still "swing" it I say go for it!

We stopped about a month ago because my DD HATES her carseat. I wish she would tolerate it better though- because it is much more convenient. I would use the carseats in the stroller for as long as you can!

Mine are 8 months and I still have them in the double snap-n-go... Sadfly one of mine is about to outgrow the weight limit on the carseat so I will have to get a new stroller! I find it a lot easier to keep them in the car seat and get in and out of places, plus fewer people come up to us when they are facing me than when we are out and about with our BOB stroller, not to mention if they are sleeping in the car seat I don't have to wake them in order to get them out!

I would keep them there until they outgrow the seats or they protest too much! You can always loosen the straps a little if you feel like they need a little wiggle room!

This is exactly the reason that it took me until they were about 7 months to put them in the stroller without their carseats. biggrin.gif It seemed like they looked so much older. I didn't (still don't) want them to grow up. Once I put them in the stroller without the carseats they were so happy. They were looking around at everything and were smiling at everyone that passed by.

I know it's hard ~ maybe try it once and see how they do...and you for that matter wink.gif
