OK.. So i am guilty too.. Why dont we talk to eachother? Do we just forget about this forum? I know i do. Are there not too many of us?

So how are you doing today? Is everyone walking now? Talking? Hows the whole milk going?

Hi!

Mason is good. He's been walking for a good 1.5 months now and says a few things - Mama, Dad, look, this, that, no!

He's makes me laugh everyday - he's always doing things he knows is cute and will go over to the CD rack & pretend to pull down a CD because he knows he's not supposed to. He'll stand there with his hand on a CD until I notice and then take it down as I'm watching so I'll say "no". Same with the stairs - he'll go up the first one, turn around and wait until I see him and then go up them as fast as he can so I'll go after him laugh.gif

Such a cutie!!!

hellooooooo! LOL i swear i've been checking daily and have no clue where you all have been! happy birthday to your babes, ashley!

we are doing well, but the last 5 days there has been mayhem with sleeping, i don't know what's up really, if they want just 1 nap or if it's just regular messup that will go back to normal soon....but bear has been either skipping the pm nap or going to sleep up to an hour late and waking 30 to 45 minutes earlier than normal. ally has joined the fun with the late nights and early wakeups the past 2 days, and today fought like a demon against her pm nap....i hate when they get out of whack. tonight they didn't fall asleep till 9:10 and usually they are out by 8:20 at the latest.....i think tomorrow i'm going to skip a.m. nap altogether and let them have their p.m. nap early, though usually they seem pretty tired by 9:00 a.m....we'll see what time they wake up

to answer your question, they are sooooo walking, just everywhere, all the time go go go....but i love it. i'm trying to get them to talk more, though i know they are supposed to take longer since they are exposed to 2 languages (english and spanish) here's their repertoire:

bear: mama, mommy, uh-oh, agua (water), papa (daddy), quacks, barks and moos for the respective animal
ally: mama, uh-oh, agua (water), daddy, pahbee (toby, our dog), quacks, barks, moos, crows like a rooster

they are signing a lot, too:
bear: milk, eat, more, shoes, drink, pancake, hat, all done, wash hands, baby, ball (but he does the same sign for ball, more, and shoes LOL)
ally: please, thank you, milk, more, eat, cereal, drink, daddy, shoes, hat, bird, wash hands, sleep, brush teeth, all done, baby, pancake

they do the "eat" "hat" "daddy" "milk" and "all gone" signs with both languages, so that's encouraging as well...

anyone else dealing with bilingualism?
