Well at 36 weeks I was getting miserable and my blood pressure was getting up a little so my Dr said the babies were already pretty big so he'd go ahead and break my water.....sounded easy enough the plan was just break my water and then the babies would be out soon no problem....right? WRONG.....well I went in Firday at 8:00 am weighing in at a whopping 242 lbs (38lbs gained total) well at 11:00 am my OB broke my water and the contractions started coming real good for about 15 minutes and stopped....so after an hour they said we would try some potocin so we did and same story again 15 minutes they came and stopped....so they upped my dosage and same thing and they continued this til I was maxed out on potocin at 7:00 pm well after checking me and I was only at a 4 and coming in at a 2-3 that wasn't very good progress so the nurse kept telling my dr she stil felt a water bag so he proceeded to break it again and somehome my sons water bag had resealed itself so I was not progressing........well finally after breaking it again I went to a 8 in a matter of 30 minutes but then I stayed there for 4 hours with contractions hard and about 3 minutes appart ( I delived drug free) well finally at about 1 am Saturday morning I got to a 9 1/2 and stayed there for another 4 hours and at 5:15 am I was begging my nurse to push...she checked me and said I was still a 9 1/2 but if I wanted I could try to see if it would push the cervix the rest of the way to 10 and well it work and she started screaming STOP STOP DON'T PUSH.....I guess that made Jacob drop and fast...so she ran to get the Dr and the nurses (6 total 2 per baby and 2 for me one helping me and the other holding Mekaila in place)....and at 5:22 am Jacob came out weighing 6 lb 12 oz and measuring 19 inches and they broke my water for Mekaila and she came out at 5:26 am weighing a respectable 5 lb 14 oz and measuring 18 inches....and we left the hospital Monday morning and I weighed out at 200 losing 4 lbs more than I gained

Great birth story! I applaud you for doing it drug free. They are so sweet. I love that they touch their heads when they sleep. You can tell how much they love each other. Where did you get those signs for the car seats? I remember someone had posted about them, but I don't remember the website and I want to get them.

I have boy-boy twins and am slightly jealous of your cuties and their matching pink/blue outfits. wub.gif Your babies are precious and your birth story is awesome. I should get around to posting mine... Congrats to you for having healthy babies!! I laughed out loud at the "stop DON'T push" comment. rotflmbo.gif Obviously she understimated you !! They are so precious - congrats to you!!
