Sooo after much prayer and taking heed to all of the fantastic advice you ladies so graciously gave me! I decided to go ahead and have the babies earlier as discussed in my early posting.

So we went on Tuesday, the 28th to check the lung maturities and they both were ready to go! So that night I began my 12 hour fast in preparation for my scheduled 1 pm c-section. I was supposed to be the first section but do to some schedule problems I got pushed back. I cried and freaked out when they told me. I think I was just overwhelmed..

Anyway, as I mentioned in the earlier post I have battled hyperemisis gravidarum the entire pregnancy so 12 hours with nothing to eat or drink was MISERABLE... Sorry if TMI but I threw up stomach acid/bile all night and then started uncontrollable dry heaves at 4am so My doctor told me to come in to L&D and get IV's and try to get the vomiting under control!

I was contracting a bit but thought nothing of it. I just wanted to stop throwing up!

But when I got on the monitor it turned out that I was contracting HARD every 2 MINS!!! Apparently I'm a good laborer! ohmy.gif

So then It was go time! Funny thing was that for some reason that night there were 4 other twin deliveries! So lo and behold do to all the contracting I was bumped up and I got to meet my babies right away!

I now have two gorgeous healthy baby boys! Baby A was 4lbs 13 oz and Baby B was 5lbs 8 oz! They are identical and look exactly alike! If it wasn't for the weight difference I'd be blink.gif but so far I can tell!

They spent about 2 days in the NICU for some belabored breathing issues but they are now with us in the room and we are all happy as clams! I was concerned about the breast feeding but I have been pumping and they are champs at the boob! My husband says,Like father like sons I guess! rolleyes.gif He's silly!

Anyway it looks like we will be leaving today! I just wanted to pop in and say thank you for all the support and kind words that you all sent to me. Especially when I was so worried about things in my last posting!

I'm glad we decided to go early and I am thankful for all the support! God bless you all!

Wish me luck! I'm off to take a nap now! clapping.gif
