Developed PIH at 35w, delivered by scheduled c-section at 35w3d.
William Allan born at 7lbs3oz (spent 28 hours in NICU due to breathing issues and low blood sugar)
Andrew Cima born at 5lbs11oz (Spent 3 hours in NICU, just to observe his "transition")
They were di/di, but now that they're out, we think there's a chance they might be ID (look alike and have the same rare blood type). I don't know if we care enough to find out
The size difference was (and still is) hilarious, and somewhat of a surprise. The last growth scan, one week before birth, had them only 5-6 oz apart..not a pound and a half! Both dropped a considerable amount of weight, though not quite 10%, in the first week after birth, but both are above birth weight now.We're doing pretty well, all things considered. Recovery was super easy for me. The boys are still in "premie" phase, so we just keep waking them up every 3 hours to eat and they're pretty content. The last few days, they've been more awake after feedings which is kind of fun. I'm sort of just waiting for the other shoe drop and everything going to h%$^ in a handbasket!
