Being a twin is great, I know, but doesn't it sometimes annoy you?
I love writing to my penpal because my sister doesn't and I can for once write 'I' instead of 'we' all the time. It's annoying when people think you are one person, you know you arn't when people keep saying it, it gets you down. People think you can't do anything on your own. But then again, in my life right now I couldn't feel more alone...

It can be frustrating sure. There are people who just don't "get it" (including her future mother in law) I wouldn't trade being a twin for anything but I love being solo sometimes.

The only time I hate being called "we" is when someone else is saying it, such as a boy in my english class the other day. My sister and I are in the same english class and me and her along with another guy were demonstrating something and he said" disagree just for the sake of conversation" and the boy who is a friend said "they can't they have the same brain" and I kind of went off on him because on the way to class like four different people had said "hey look twins!" like we were some kind of freak show. I don't like being compared and when people group us but its hard not to because we do nearly everything together.
Sometimes it's tough having a twin. The love is so intense but so is the hate. (Nicholas Brendon)

Hello! I am a fraternal twin (I am a girl and my twin is a boy) and people may think it's cool to be a twin and that fraternal twins, especially those who don't have the same gender don't have any problems but I can totally say that sometimes being a twin is frustrating! (And I wanted to find a forum where twins can speak because I need that). I mean, we've been called "the twins" for years and years and we're 18 now! We've been called "the twins" for so long that I have troubles with my own identity and really don't know if I can really say "I". Of course, I love my brother, we share a special bond (and our games, jokes, friends, etc) but we have our own life! He's not even in the same class as me and our path separates long ago but we are still "the twins" for everyone and everyone kept trying to find how we are alike...
"Why don't you have the same nose ?" "Why don't you study the same thing ?" "Hey! The Twins!"
I so loved being "the twins" when I was younger because we were the only twins in the school. Then, I grow up and my brother too. I meet other twins, identical, and it seems that we want the same thing: our own identity.

My older sister, Danica gets on my nerves because she calls my sister and I "Wierd clone freaks". And my mom won't hear, so she'll get away with it!
