My boys are here!

Owen John and Sean William arrived on 9/28/08 at 10:24am and 10:25am by c-section at 36 weeks and 6 days. Owen was 5lbs 15ozs and Sean was 4lbs 13ozs and both were 19 inches. No NICU time! Owen did have to spend a day under the lights because he threatened to have jaundice, but did not. Here is my story and some photos:
At 7:15am on Sunday morning I was getting out of bed and my water broke. We called our babysitter for DS and we got to the hospital by 8am. They confirmed my water broke and set me up for my c-section (I had a previous c-section with my DS so we knew this would be a c-section). The boys arrived at 10:24am and 10:25am. I was extremely tired and nauseous during the c-section and most of Sunday. The boys stayed with me in recovery and Owen wanted to eat right away. Owen is my great breastfeeder and Sean is catching up. However, because of Sean's low weight and Owen's high bilirubin levels, we had to supplement the breastfeeding with formula until my milk came in, which was last night. Now we are supplementing with EBM after they breastfeed to make sure they are getting enough. Our stay in the hospital was good. I did have the boys go to the nursery at night and only come to me for breastfeeding, which I highly recommend. I'm recovering really well from the c-section. We came home today and I'm not looking forward to the first night! Wish me luck and good luck to all you ladies still awaiting your arrivals!

Thanks for the well wishes! The first night started out rough with them wanting to constantly feed until 1:30am, but after that they gave us over an hour that they slept together and then over two hours after the next feeding. I never thought I'd be so happy for 3 hours of sleep!
