Well if you seen my recent post I had been to L&D on Thursday with strong contractions I was at 4cm dilated and 80% effaced, they attempted to stop them but nothing worked. After a few hours I didn't progress they sent me home. I ended up in L&D again on Sunday because I had strong consistent contractions again, once again they tried to stop them, once again it didn't work, but yet again they sent me home. I had contractions all day and night, no sleep because they were so painful they'd wake me up. I had a regular appt. on Monday and still having really strong contractions. When my doctor came in she asked how I was doing, I told her that I was miserable, just basically walking around in labor but not progressing. She felt the contraction and agreed they were strong and although I was still early 35+ weeks she would be willing to let me deliver.

I went over to L&D yet again to get monitored and they tracked the contractions, still really strong and consistent but no progression the doctor said this is probably because the girls were transverse, but this also caused a danger with me being so far dilated, if my water was to break then it could have possibly slipped thru the cervix and that can be deadly to the baby, so they decided to get me prepped for c-section. I got to L&D at 1:30, and was in the operating room by 4pm. Brooklyn Shaila was born at 4:23, 5lbs, 1oz, Paiyton Ryliee was born a minute later 4lbs, 13oz. Because of their age they both had to go to the special care nursery, Brooklyn although bigger had to be put on oxygen for 6 hours then eat twice before being released to my room, Paiyton was free to come to my room at anytime but I left her there so I could get some rest, they are such good sleepers that I kept them with me the entire stay, I should be going home tomorrow and as long as their weights are good and they pass the carseat test they will be coming with me.
