My April Fools birth story

    Well my stubborn little girl arrived quickly on April 1. Weighing in at 8 lbs 1 oz.
    Unfortunately my contractions never started on their own. So dh and I arrived at the hospital at 8:30am to be induced. I finally got to my room and had midwife tell me what they were gonna do. They wanted to start by giving me a gel to help me dilate then after a couple hours start me on pitocin. Another midwife came in and checked me and I was 4cm already, Yay!!! So straight to pitocin for me. They got me started on it at 12:15. Contractions started around 1:00 and got consistent about 2:00. Its hard to explain but contractions sure felt differant being forced then coming naturally. I guess I only really pushed twice.The midwife said my body was doing all the work. One push was the head and other push was the rest of her. She came flying out at 3:26pm.My quickest labour yet. Under 2 hours.Woohoo!!! And like the others. No meds at all.Yay!!
    We are home now. And quite tired. The other kids absolutely adore her. The twins are fascinated by her. Alyssa keeps covering her up with her blankie and they both keep pointing and saying"baby".
    She is sleeping now,so I better take advantage and sleep also.Thank goodness twinkies sleep all night :D

    We named her Chloe Frances ( after dh grandmother )

    Congrats again!!! She's so beautiful. And yes definitely rest when she is, but you know that. You're a pro at this. :)

    My poor sister hasn't gone yet.She is miserable.She has ALOT of excess fluid but since she's dilated the dr won't induce her.She's measuring 8 weeks ahead because of it.Baby is only about 6-7 lbs. I feel so sorry for her.Her due date is in 9 days, I just pray she goes soon.

    Thank you all for your comments.I forgot how much fun it is being awake at 5AM breastfeeding. :D ,kind of boring with only one but soooo relaxing.
