thing 1 and thing 2

Someone posted on here awhile back with adorable pictures of their Thing 1 and Thing 2 costumes from last year. I think we're going to use this, and I want to put it together ourselves with just red sleepers, etc. But I can't find the wigs. Where did you get them?

 

ebay, search "blue wig"

 

We made ours with blue hairy fabric from Joanne's. That way, we could tie them under thier chins like little hats

Great idea! I've searched all over the web, including eBay, and the wigs I'm finding are all for adults. Since we'd have to rig something up to make it fit anyway, we could just as well start from scratch.

 

My MIL knitted them for mine. HERE are the instructions. She said it was really easy! We got the yarn at Michaels. HTH

 

I sprayed mine with blue hair paint(non-toxic).

 

I can't find them either! I've looked everywhere! Unfortunatley I dont' know anyone who knits either

 

What about the outfits? Where can I get them?

 

We used hats that I found at the Dollar Zone and I sewed them to fit their heads. For the costumes, I used red sweat suits and cut out white flannel for the front. Here is a pictue. View attachment 1172

 

They do have blue wigs on ebay for infants. I found them searching the other day because my daughter wanted to do Thing 1 and Thing 2 for the boys. We also found the costumes already made that included the wigs on ebay. They had them from 9 month size up. Search "blue wigs" and "costumes".
