Anyone use lapbooks?

I have been interested in maybe starting some of these. But really don't know where to start. I know the boys would love to be involved in their creation.

ANyone have good sources for instructions or ideas? Books would be great, even websites.

I've been using Abeka curriculm for quite a few years now. We are ready for a change. I thought I'd start here. Have you used them?

 

We don't lapbook. But one of the homeschooling forums I frequent has several, several, aka ALOT of members who do. Here is the link: http://www.homeschoolspot.com/ I am sure they would LOVE to share pictures of their creations too.

 

DD has done 1 lapbook to date. It was a "Grandma's biography interview" that sent with DD and Grandma on their 2 wk vacation together. She hasn't said much about it since she has been back, so I don't know if she is jumping to do another. We don't really have a lot of extra time during the school year to do the lapbooks as it is considered and "extra", but I might try to do a few over the summer again.
