Our twin girls are 3 weeks old. Both girls been eating fine until a about 3 days ago. She appears to try and suck but very little is coming out. We tried 3 different type bottles. We think its how she is positioning her toung. Any suggestions? We are currently working with her to eat but it is taking an hour to get down 2oz

You say you've tried different bottles, but have you tried different nipples? There a lots of different speeds, shapes, etc.

Nipples come in different stages. You need to get the next stage nipple and that will help increase the flow (the holes are slightly bigger). Just be forewarned...the first time they try it, they may gag and sputter a bit because they are used to a slower flow.

    Were they fullterm?

You can also gently squeeze her cheeks on each side to promote a better seal and more efficient suck. Try to intorduce the nipple towards the roof of her mouth so she has to get her tongue under it.

    Good luck

Thanks for the replies. Yes we tried several different nipples. We will try the medium flow and see if that helps.they were born at 36weeks
