We are looking at getting them a basketball hoop set for x-mas, but the one I was thinking of getting (Just like the pro's set by Little Tikes) gets horrible reviews. I want one they can use now and for atleast a year going forward. Any suggestions?

We have the "Just Like The Pro's" one. They got it last year and still play with it. I was unaware of the poor reviews. We like it because it seems to be pretty durable and easy to adjust. My only complaint is that the basketball was missing when we opened the box. We contacted Little Tikes and they sent a new one right away. BTW - we keep ours indoors.

I have one I like...don't know what kind it is. It has a very heavy bottom. My only complaint is that I can't move it. I like that it's sturdy, but I bend the pole whenever I try to move the bottom (like to mow), so check on that kind of thing when getting one. Just something to think about.

We have the Fisher Price- Grow to Pro- hoop. It is awesome. It can be adjusted for height and it is sturdy. My boys shot hoops all the time and the daycare kids use ours as well. It is big enough for 5, even 6, 7 year olds. We had the Little Tykes one last year, they tipped it over once, sat on it and it broke. THe Fisher Price one is a whole lot more durable. We got ours at Toys-R-Us.
