Curious: how many of us delivered 14lbs of baby or more?

I am just very curious who delivered approx. 2 x 7lbs+ sized babies. I know there are a few women out here who had, like myself, (very) big twins.

I bascially gave birth to 15 1/2 lbs of baby ... and although the babies always measured ahead, I was and still am surprised they actually got this big.

Just wondering how many of us there out here!

I delivered vaginally, scheduled induction at 38w2d so they were even 12 days early as well.

    Thanks,

I definitely did not, but this post made me think...
Together all 3 of my were only 11 lbs 2.5 ounces. Crazy that some of you had a lot more than that with just 2.

Together mine were 14lbs 10oz, delivered by c-section at 38 weeks. My belly was SO huge, I'm only 5'2" so I looked like I had a basketball under my shirt

I'm glad you ran this poll, I realized I had the wrong weights in my signature (I am toooo sleep deprived)! I originally had 8# 5 oz for each but corrected them...I want full credit for carrying over 17# of baby!

Mine probably would of been big babes if I had gone full term or close to full term. At 33 wks they weighed in at 5.2lbs each.

Hands down you win! HOLY COW that is a lot of baby! I have a lot of family members that think my girls were "so big for twins" and they were only 6.5 and 6.1. Wait until I tell them about yours!!!

I had just over twelve and a 1/2 pounds of baby in there - not bad considering I only gained 35 lbs. My babies came at 37.5 weeks.

Sorry Meighan, but I think I have you beat:

    Campbell was 8 lb, 8oz
and Beckett was 9 lb, 3 oz

    17lbs, 11oz total

    39 weeks and 5 days--vaginal delivery.

Wow, some really big babies out there!!

I delivered just under 13 lbs of babies at 36.6 weeks. If I'd gone another week or two, I'd no doubt have had some big boys too!

Whew!!! You certainly do win! Do you mind me asking if you and your DH are avg size or tall? We never understood why all of ours were so large...we are both small to medium size.
All I know is I am glad I will never be pregnant again! :D

Wow! Mine were 6.9 and 6.2, total of 12.11 together at 36 weeks 3 days.

Some of you ladies are shining examples to many of the moms in the expecting forum that are worried about trying for vaginal deliveries with twins....not only did you do it with twins but you did it with some very large babies. Bravo to you!!!!

It's also proof that having twins does not mean that you are definitely going to have small babies that are born early...........the female body and miracle of pregnancy never ceases to amaze me.

WOW! Big babies. I only had exactly 12 pounds of baby (6-4 and 5-12). My sister had over fifteen (8-something and 7-something). But some of you have her beat. :bow2:

Well, I am still in the expecting forum but this gives me hope that I will make it to my scheduled date!! I was told Monday that the babies are 6lbs 15 and 6lbs 12 at 34.5 weeks (which I know can be off ) and then keep hearing that my body probably won't hold out until then but you ladies prove it can happen :D

Wow! that's lots of baby weight.. I don't make the club, Vanessa was only 5 lbs 8 oz, Tatiana 5 lbs 13 oz at 37 weeks..
but, maybe if my membranes weren't ruptured early, I might of gone a full 40 weeks or more.. then maybe I'd have delivered bigger
    babies?!

Oh I sooo have to get in on this...I don't make small babies!

My twins: Logan 8 lb 5 oz, Marc 8 lb 1 oz so a total of 16 lb 6 oz at 38 weeks 1 day
My first: Kerek 8 lb 2 oz at 38 weeks exactly

I find it amazing that not only did I carry my twins longer (only by 1 day :p !) but also one of my twins was bigger than my singleton!!!
