It really not funny but this has caused me to burst out laughing hysterically because as I read this I was literally sitting here eating my most favorite decadent indulgence:

A bar of dark chocolate with a HUGE dollop of PEANUT BUTTER on it!

Oh my life is such a comedy of errors! LOL!

Well, it's a good thing we have two big jars already tested in the cabinet! Hopefully those will last us until the craziness is over. It might be a good time to try the peanut butter alternatives like Sun Butter. Who eats them and how are they?

A topic title like this reminds me of the type of things the NEWS media does. The recall is not a warning by the FDA to not eat peanutbutter it has a spicific list that I found in a linking story to the article linked above.

So far what I have found is the recall is on products that contain PB

The only actual list I can find is by Kellogs A list of products recalled by Kellogg's as of 1/18/09

Mine have got salmonella right now. I am 99.9% sure it did not come from pb products, I believe they caught it at an ag-expo. I never knew slamonella was contagious.

FYI on my favorite candy...Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are SAFE :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

:yahoo: that is good news. I just ate one the other night and never even thought about the recall. I am sure the FDA is doing it's job and pulling or ordering retailers to pull products that could be in question.

Annemarie I am sorry to hear your children are suffering with this bacteria. I pray they are healthy soon.

I just got a letter from Sam's Club. According to their records I had purchased some of the recalled items (platters of baklava) and was told to return it for a full refund because it has been recalled. I'm a little bummed because I got these on clearance for a great price and was saving it for future parties but oh well, safety first, I didn't really need all that yummy baklava anyway. :p
