Just curious as I havent read much about this test as of yet. I havent had one done yet, but the doctor mentioned it at the last apt.

My Dr. told me it's 99.1% accurate if it is negative- but only about 50% accurate if it's positive.

I heard that its 99% accurate that you won't deliver within 2 weeks if its negative, but a positive result is really inconclusive. It doesn't neccessarily mean you are going to go have the babies within 2 weeks, its just means that you are excreting a protein that is present during labor. I had a positve fFN test at 24 weeks and I was fortunate enough to make it to 28 weeks.

Ditto the other girls. I had a positive fFN over 2 weeks ago and we're still holding on strong.

Yep, it's more reliable if it is negative. I had a positive at 28 weeks - they tested me due to shortened cervix and contractions. I made it to 35 weeks (was on bedrest). Good luck!
