First school party with the kids in different classes!

I had to work out a whole schedule with them this morning -- go to Sarah's room first to set up the game I volunteered to run, then to Amy's to help her change into her costume, then back to Sarah's to help her change into HER costume. Then spend half an hour in Sarah's room running the game. Then spend half an hour in Amy's just hanging out. Then somehow do the Halloween parade with both of their classes (maybe running back and forth from one to the other like a police escort).

I'm sure I'll get better at this with practice!

:) It is a challenge, but it sounds as if you are handling it like a champ!!! They'll remember how much fun you made their days!

I always made it easy on myself and would sign up for each one for a different party. Like Halloween with one and Holiday with the other. That way they got all my attention, and I wasn't driving myself crazy. Also, our school limits greatly the number of parents at a party, so the kids love it when you are there, but don't feel bad when you aren't.

As it turned out, because their classrooms are right next to each other, I could practically be in both parties at once. Also, it was a gorgeous day and the parties spilled out the outside doors (still an amazing concept to me -- where I grew up back east, classrooms didn't HAVE outside doors!) and basically merged with each other on the lawn. Also, I sort of abandoned the game I was supposed to be running in Sarah's classroom because no one was that interested. So it was a little hectic, but not too bad.
