The following is a random, unscientific sampling of Twinstuff moms reporting on the gestational weights of their twins in ultrasound measurements during pregnancy. Please bear in mind that the gestational weight estimates may vary based on external factors and that this chart is not designed to be used as a recommended weight range for your twins. For 16 months, we collected ultrasound weights from mothers here at Twinstuff. Those weights were then calculated to find the average weight for that week. Also listed are the lowest and highest weights recorded for that ultrasound period. We hope you find this chart helpful!

I was pretty close target - slightly over, I guess. Both girls were est. 9oz at my 18w appt - they were only 2 or 4 grams apart!

It is exciting to see that at 21 weeks my twins were both right on. They were both 1lb, 2oz. I am looking forward to finding out how much they weigh next week at 26 weeks. Hard to believe they could both be over 2lbs, then again I look at my belly and maybe I can believe it!!!

Last week's u/s (start of 33 week) baby A was 4 lbs. 4 oz. & baby B was 3 lbs. 12 oz. They seem like they are right on track. However, I think they went on a growth spurt this weekend because I have gotten much BIGGER in the last few days. :)

Just to report that our ultrasound weights given hours before birth were way off . . . they estimated weights about 1/2 pound higher for each of them, which was pretty significant given that they were born at 1lb 15oz and 2lb 6oz, at 27.4 weeks.

Do the doctors just give you the weights? At my 20w2d(i think) u/s all they said is one measures 19w5d and they other was barely 18w. Is that what you all are talking about or do they have a way to measure them than get the weight. I am confused....I have an u/s with Peri in 2 weeks so i will see if they can give me more info...

This is neat to see. My last ultrasound at 27 wks. showed them weighing about 3 lbs. each, which is big. I'm glad that they are measuring big, but then again I keep thinking, what if I go to 38-39 wks! I'll be huge.

Just wanted to add that my last growth scan I had we were told that the boys weighed 5.10 and 5.12 at 33 weeks. Right after that appt. I walked over to the eval room for my NST, was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and was delivered via c/s within 3 hours. The boys weighed 5.8 and 5.9. Isn't it amazing that the estimate was that close. I thought to myslef right before the c/s that it would be cool to see how accurate the measurements were and I was pleasantly surprised. Just wanted to share.

I had an u/s the day before my girls were born at 37w5d and it said they were 7#7 and 5#5. Turned out they were 7#9 and 5#3. It's interesting to me that the average for 34 weekers was around what Sabrina was at almost 38 weeks, because even though she was older, she had a lot of feeding problems like I've heard are common for being about a month earlier than that. She'd basically stopped growing the last month (I think the u/s a month earlier showed her at 5#1), and maybe slowed in developing, too? She's still tiny, but healthy and great. Anyway, interesting observations from this unscientific poll!

My 20 wk results were 9oz for Baby A and 12 oz for Baby B. One on target and one a little small, but we already knew that. This was neat to look at :)
