I am glad and feel very blessed and fortunate that I have had twins!:thanks: It is only recently too that I feel like I can guenuinely, honestly say it and mean it.

We are currently having a bit of a bad run with lack of sleep, not getting everything done in and around the home, dh and other kids etc but I look at my 2 little bubs and feel that despite everything, glad that these 2 beautiful beings are mine.

On being told there were 2 I was for a long time, terrified, and overwhelmed at the change in plans for myself , family, home, car and struggled with letting go of the 'ideal' picture I had in my head of how my life was supposed to go. I loved the babies but damn it was and is hard. I often still have moments and days where I wonder what might have been, and insanely jealous thoughts of the ease in which 'single' moms get around (busy? - you don't know the meaning of the word!), but I'm really learning and trying to appreciate my bubs now.

Did I mention how hard this is lol

It IS amazing, isn't it?? I have never been a "baby person" and was so worried that being a mom wouldn't click. I worried even more when I found out there were two! It's been life changing and I can honestly say that I can't imagine it any other way.

Sometimes (don't laugh!) my husband and I will marvel when we're holding two girls and say "What do other parents do with the free arm??" It just seems like everybody should have a baby on each arm!

I feel SOOO blessed to havem my twins. We had to fight tooth and nail to get pregnant, suffered a m/c of ID girls and then finally got our babies. Our oldest wanted siblings so badly and I am so glad we could give her that. It is hard some days but I wouldn't change it for the world. Funny story, dh and I were walking into Hobby Lobby one day before Christmas and ran into my friend D who has a 4 year old dd and 1 year old g/b/g trips. we were chatting and noticed several moms coming out with their stroller and their sweet ONE baby LOL I said to D do you ever look at those moms and think and she finished my thought by saying "SLACKERS" LOL we were of coarse teasing because no matter how many mommyhood isn't "easy" on any of us but when I am holding the twins or they are both wigging out I think man I don't even remember what it is like to care for a singleton as a baby even though I have one LOL but she is 9!

I wouldn't change it for the world! In fact, when we did the transfer with Annabella...I was secretly hoping that the one embryo would split! And then shortly after she got here, I was glad she didn't!

I've ALWAYS wanted twins. Although, I always wanted four kids...so I wanted twins when we already had two children. DH said no more than three....that was the only way to get around it! HA!

I am glad things are going well! Twins are awesome.. it's easy to get overwhelmed some days but when you have a chance you just have to sit back and marvel at them.

I always wondered what parents did with their free arm too! There was one day very early on where my husband and I both had a baby and were making breakfast.. he would hold the peanut butter jar and I'd twist the lid off  . We got very efficient at one handed life and teamwork!

    Ditto.
Very life changing in every way. In the middle of the night when up for the millionth time, it's easy to think of all the negatives, but I think it's really important to remind myself of all the benifits and the good, sweet and happy things!

It's amazing how you learn to adapt. I can't remember what it was like to look after just one baby. Now when I had one in bed still because she was sick, I kept looking around for her as it just seemed very foreign to only have one baby crawling around!

I do also catch myself sometimes looking at other parents with just the 1 baby on their arm and wondering where the 'other' one is?!

i still wake up and shake my head and can't believe there are TWO babies in my life. I could not be more thankful though. Sure my hands are always full but honestly I don't know how i did it with only one baby the first time around and I find myself looking at people with singletons and thinking "sucks to be you you only got ONE baby outta this" crazy i know!

I have to constantly wonder what the heck I ever complained about when my first 2 kids were babies! I mean honestly, single babies that don't sleep, or are teething, or making mess have got absolutely nothing raising twins.
My 1st 2 singltons didn't sleep much, but in comparison to what i get now....sigh!

Our girls are starting playing chase with each other and greeting each other every morning at almost 9months! :friends: Yes, that 's paying for the sleepless nights we are still having.

Mine are starting to play with each other more. I saw them play 'chicken' in the hall way one day - too cute!

I kind of feel bad to say this, but actually reading that makes me feel more 'normal'. I often wonder if I shouldn't find it easier yet. After all, having two kids is nothing too special. Still I feel very overwhelmed at times and wish I could be an octopus so I'd have more hands to do all the things I need to do.

But I wouldn't change it for the world!

Reading this makes me feel better. It just makes me feel like I'll get to where you are someday! I love them to pieces and am glad they are my babies, but there are days when I wonder what God was thinking!?

Isn't it great when you get to that point! :clapping:

I started feeling that way when a lot of my friends (who had had singletons around the time I had the twins) started having their 2nd kids. Suddenly I had two toddlers who were more fun every day, and felt like we were really getting our act together, while my friends were just trying to figure out how to juggle parenting two kids. I was so glad not to be going back to the newborn stage!

Having twins is absolutely wonderful! Some days are absolutely crazy, but at night when I am rocking them I still can't believe that I have two beautiful healthy babies. It is all so worth it.

It's funny, I used to read posts from those whose twins were older and who would say that its great having twins and think they were mad. The unknown for me was such a big factor and I was frightened to death about how I would cope.
I still have a lot of days where I think the same as above, but I just have to believe that He knew what He was doing when He gave me twins. I like to believe (try to believe ) that everything happens for a reason.

No day is 'easy' and if I dwell on it, there are soooooooooooo many things that have had to change and/or miss out on because of the twins.
It helps sometimes to write or do something positive. I sometimes take 5 mins out of my day just to sit on the floor and let my babies come to me, crawl over me, and just try and appreciate and remind myself whats important. It can be so easy to lose sight of that

I completely agree! I am so blessed to have twins and I often feel sorry for those that have singletons. This is a new state of mind for me though :D . Don't get me wrong, I've always loved them and felt blessed to have them, but the early days were so hard. There were many times that I never thought I would make it through. I had to do it mostly alone and I was so sleep deprived that I was literally sick. I often felt a little jealous of my friends that only had singletons. Now when I'm on the phone with one of them and they are complaining about what a rough time they are having I have to keep my self from rolling my eyes :) . We've had to miss out on a lot of stuff and I've had a few people get mad at me because we couldn't do stuff with them but it is so worth it. They are amazing and so much fun!

and when they're almost 5 and they hug and kiss each other every night, tell each other that they love each other and want to marry each other  on that one it is so much more!!!
