I was just wondering if i should be seeing my OB more than once a month? I am 19 weeks pregnant with mo/di twin girls. I also get an ultrasound every other week is that normal because i read on the march of dimes website that with these type of twins i should be getting one once a week. I just wanted to know how much everyone is seeing their OB and getting and ultrasound. When did it bump up to more? My OB just talks to me and doesn't measure me or check me or anything they just weight me and take my urine sample. is this normal????

I am getting an ultrasound every other week and seeing my doctor every other week (on the same days) and that is the same type of girls that I just found out I'm having. I just found out at 21 weeks so I don't really know about the other questions... I haven't had my first 2 week appointment yet, I have it on Monday, so I don't know what they will do as far as a checkup...Hope this helped a little bit!

I have mono-di boys. I saw my OB every three weeks - and had an u/s each time - from 8-20 weeks, then every two weeks from 20-28 weeks, then weekly from 28-38+ when I had my scheduled c-section. Ultrasounds every visit.

    Good luck!

I am having Mono/Di girls and am 25.2 weeks.

Up until 20 weeks I saw the OB every month and the perinatologist I saw at 16 weeks and 18 weeks and then started going every week

Now I see the OB every 2 weeks and the peri every week for cervix, doppler, and fluid check with a growth scan every 3 weeks.

Once I hit 32 weeks I'll see the OB weekly and start getting NSTs on top of the rest until my scheduled c-section at 38 weeks as long as the girls hold out that long.

From 24 weeks I had an u/s every 2 weeks, saw my OB 1 a month until 30 weeks, then I was bi weekly. I had 2 NST's per week from 28 weeks on.

I had my boys five years ago. I had monthly ob and u/s visits. It was every 2 weeks starting at 28 weeks. Hindsight being 20/20, I likely would have requested more frequent u/s (like every 2 weeks) earlier on to monitor of TTTS. We had NO TTTS issues, but since then I've jsut learned more about it. So, if it were to happen again, I'd request more frequent u/s.

I have been going weekly for about 9 weeks now. I get a growth scan every two weeks and they check fluid every week. I was told that due to margin of error that growth scans don't show accurate results if done weekly. I have had some complications though which are why I am being monitored weekly. My babies have had a greater than 20% size discordance since week 18 and our smaller baby was diagnosed IUGR. They wanted more frequent scans and to keep an eye on TTTS symptoms, which fortunately haven't presented. We are doing well and are pretty convinced that our babies are perfectly healthy, just on the small side.

Oh boy, I'm the oddball here. We didn't find out about the twins until 21wks, so I had regular prenatal care til then with my GP.

I was transferred to an OB at 21wk but didn't see her til 25wks, then at 29wks, then every 2wks after that.

I had the initial u/s at 21wk, one at 27wk, 35wk and a quick peek at 37 to check position.

I had no other extra care.

I was diagnosed at my 20 week anatomy scan with ttts. From then on I had twice weekly ultrasounds. The ttts foundation recommends weekly ultrasounds from 20 weeks on for all mono di pregnancies.

My girls are di/di and I had an ultrasound every 2 weeks until 20weeks, once a week until 28weeks then twice a week until 38weeks.
