They are taking parroting to a whole new level lately. Yesterday they were eating fruit snacks and the babysitter remarked how much they seemed to like them. I said, yeah, it's like baby crack. Now today they are begging me for "baby crack". I had no idea they were listening that closely!

Lol, yeah, we've run into that a few times. Don't you just LOVE how they'll repeat EVERYTHING?! Ha, and you know they'll probably say it at the grocery store or somewhere... :p (And btw, we used to refer to puffs as baby crack)

Last week, as we were driving down the road we were talking about green light means "go", red light means "stop"... I jokingly said "Yellow light means hurry up!" I know I probably shouldn't have said it... and later said no, it means "slow down" but now EVERY time they see a yellow light they say, "yellow light means hurry up!"

 that's funny! When it was just my oldest and he was 3, I was able to hide it better and make sure he didn't hear it. But with 3 little ones! One of them always hears it! :headbang:

Isn't that the truth? I've noticed this too!

I'd take baby crack over 'f******' any day. Even though I do tend to giggle whenever they say it so innocently.

Glad I'm not the only one  I have been known to have a bit of road rage before (particularly with tailgaters) and one time I said WTF while I was driving and Ethan mimicked it word for word, including inflection!

They should focus more energy into picking up my cleaning habits or award winning personality instead of my numerous flaws

    LOL! Baby crack!!!

We can watch a movie with one bad word in it and it is like that is the ONLY word out if the whole movie these 2 hear and they always use it correctly . Oh man I have been embarrassed so many times LOL!!

I agree that at least it was baby crack. I let "damn it" slip once when I dropped something and it broke. Then for 3-months both of them would drop something and say "oh damn it". It was so hard not to laugh because they used it in context every time. It has been almost 10-months and every once in awhile it reappears. I love my twin parrots  .

Oh man, I worry about this! Paul and I have quite the vocabulary and we're very casual with it. I'm trying to change sh!t to shoot and d@mn to dang, but what's the difference, really? The intent of the profanity is what would make me cringe coming out of a young child's mouth more than the word itself. I'm probably screwed and my girls will end up cursing like sailors and embarrassing the grandparents. Sigh.

You and me both, sister. Except Ben doesn't really swear and I use the F word like it's going out of style.

The other day in the grocery store my daughter exclaimed very loudly "what the he**". It felt like everyone in the store stopped and stared at us. Apparently we say that a bit too much.

I actually did the same thing the other day but while watching TV there was the MOST ridiculous commercial I ever saw (and i know it was bad because I haven't seen it yet). Any how with my mouth wide open i slowly said W...T...F...and with my DD in her daddy's lap she said it too! I felt so bad but she actually said "wa da uck"...my DH was still NOT happy! His mother is very proper and NEVER used bad words. :(

Heehee, DH and I have pretty bad potty mouths too. The only good thing about our boys having speech delays is that it has given us a few extra months to clean up our language! We are still a work in progress though...

My kids were weird becuase they never repeated anything we said ever. Until I was changing a diaper one day and said "holy sh!t" and both kids went "sh!t" simultaneously. Now they're quite well versed in sailor-speak.
