Argh! I just need to vent for a minute. I'm so tired and the house is a disaster. The girls are six months tomorrow. Things are going well. They're sleeping through for the most part. I usually have to go in at 3am and put a paci back in and then we're done until 6am. I'm just having trouble holding everything together. I thought I was getting a handle on everything then BAM everything is a mess again. I know the first year is hard and I need to give myself a break but it's hard to do anything around here when you're so behind. I don't even think it's the girls really. It's all the kids together. I know things will get easier as they get older. I'm so looking forward to spring and getting out of the house more. I think that would help a lot.

I hear ya and I only have the 1 other baby! This winter is just horrible all around and everyone is stir crazy climbing the walls in this house! Do you have any family that can watch any/all the kids to give you a "break"? I say "break" bc my MIL keeps the twins about once a week and I can clean with just Hannah not a break but I do get caught up on all my chores:) Here's hoping some sun ordered vitamin D will do us all better soon!!!

My ILs are awesome! DS goes to preschool three times a week and sometimes they come over and watch the girls while I take him and they stay until it's time for me to run and pick him up. I usually try to get some stuff done around here when they're here. They also let me leave all or some of the girls with them while DS is in preschool and I go run errands or grocery shop. They're awesome. I was having a lousy day yesterday. The kids weren't bad but it was just long. I got a lot done though so I was feeling better. I was feeling better until DH came home and told me he's picking up more hours at work. I went off to the laundry room and sobbed.

The good news...the ground hog didn't see his shadow today!!!!! :D

I logged in here to vent too. How does anyone survive this first year? My twins are 9 weeks now and I have a 3 1/2 year old too. Everyone is sick (again) with a cold and I don't know how much more winter I can take. This is sooooooo much harder than I thought it would be.

 ladies!!! Hang in there! The winter seasons are tough. Every one is cooped up in the house, going out anywhere is such a chore... It's no wonder you are down! Don't be hard on yourself! I hate's the start of tax season. Granted, it's not crazy for dh, but he works late M/Tu and all day Saturdays. I look forward to April more than you know! LOL!

As for the house, etc-let it go. It's hard. But try not to worry about cleaning throughout the day. I've pretty much given up. I clean and the next second, it's a disaster. What's the point? Enjoy those kids. They grow too fast!

And Jenn-when they are sick it's the pits! I have the reverse of you, twins and then a singleton. Your twins are still so little and needy right now. It does get easier, and it will get easier. You will get into a routine, your 3 1/2 year old will adjust to having twin siblings, and you will sleep again. I promise!

Come here and vent anytime! So many of us have been in your shoes!

BIg BIg hugs! Twins are so much harder than anyone ever tells you. I remember thinking around five months that i had it all figured out finally, and then they turned 6 months and it all went crazy again. Then around 8 months i felt that I had it all figured out agian and then they turned 9 months. It just continues to change as soon as you have a new routine all figured out. My twins are 22 months now and we also have a 14 week old. We are completely housebound due to the cold, and the fact that I refused to pay for a triple stroller. It gets hard sitting inside the same four walls every day. But jsut remember you are not alone. Come here and vent anytime. There is always a sympathetic ear and it always feels so much better just to get it off your chest.

As far as cleanign the house.....give it up. I used to think that all the toys constantly needed to be picked up, the kitchen needed to be spotless, and the rugs needed vaccuming. I then figured out that it would all be destroyed shortly after anyway. My house gets good and clean about once a week and the rest of the time we jsut try to keep it clean enough to live in. :)

I'm so thankful I have all of you wonderful ladies to talk/complain too! I don't know what I would do. Really I feel like I shouldn't complain because it hasn't been that hard for me adding the twins to the mix. At least I tell myself that then I completely fall apart because I realize I'm barely holding on to my sanity and I'm lying to myself when I say I got it all figured out!
