Period but pregnant? (Advice? BTDT?)

I got my period last week as expected, but have continued to have very very light spotting even after it should've been done. Then a couple times today I felt super queasy.

On a whim this afternoon, I cracked open an HCG test strip and got a light second line.

Shocked, I repeated the test and got the same thing again.

Could I be pregnant??  I'm going crazy now, and won't be able to call my OB/GYN for *hours*!

    What do you think?!

With all my kids my dates were off because I had implantation bleeding which mimiced a period. So, yes, you could be pregnant.

Keep us posted!!  I agree that implantation bleeding can seem like a period-so it's certainly possible.

I had a small amount of bleeding with all of my pregnancies that could have been mistaken for a light period.

My period acted like it was just starting... for days..  So much so I didn't test until I was a week late.  I was definitely pregnant.  Good luck.

Did bloodwork yesterday and got results today.  hCG 244, but progresterone very low.  Doc thinks might be a chemical pregancny, but not sure.  Will supplement progesterone for a few days while doing additional bloodwork to see how/if numbers change.

    Good thoughts, please!!

Thanks, ladies.  Went in for more bloodwork today, expect results tomorrow.  Progesterone level won't be very useful since I started supplements last night, but we'll see how the hCG is behaving ...

Yesterday's hCG was ~800 -- more than triple Tuesday's!  Doc was totally surprised.  Will go in for an u/s on Monday, although not sure we'd see anything yet (if there's anything to see).

I had a very slow start in rising hcg numbers with my 3rd. They thought it may be a chemical as well, but I have a happy and healthy 2 year old to show for it! Good luck and please keep us posted!

Nothing visible on the u/s this morning.  Either I've had a m/c, or it's just too early to see anything -- since obviously we have no idea how far along I'd be ...  Repeated the bloodwork after the u/s, and I should hear about that tomorrow.  Trying to keep my hopes up!

The hCG level dropped.  Sad news, but good to have an answer.

Thanks ladies.  Me too, but I'm glad the ambiguity wasn't dragged out for another couple of weeks before eventually hearing the bad news.
