    Molly this might just be the added support that you need to get you start and staying on the right track. I know I do so much better with my weight struggle when I'm active here. When I stop posting here I find my self slipping more and more.

    Another benefit to joining right now when you can't exercise is that it would give you time to adjust to the new eating habits without also trying to find time for exercise. When I start a diet plan I have to stop exercising for at least a couple of weeks b/c I just don't have time to figure out what I can eat, write down all my food, and find the time to exercise in addition to my already busy schedule. So by the time you were able to exercise again you'd already have the dieting under control. Just a thought.

    I'm right there with you guys...100 lbs to lose - nice to know others are in the same boat! We can do this!! :youcandoit:

    Molly, it is a proven fact that you do NOT need exercise to lose weight. You can control weight with diet alone. Of course, exercise would help, but it doesn't mean you can't change your eating in the meantime.

    Oh, and my starting weight is 165 :bad:

    Considering this time last year I was 150.....

    Oh well, back on the wagon and I AM going to lose 25 or more pounds.

    Okay you have convinced me to try.

    First problem I'm already noticing is going to be remembering to weigh in. I already missed today :blush:

    I know that I don't HAVE to exercise, because I have been able to maintain since May. However I have learned from my own body that if I don't do some kind of exercise, to increase my calorie usage, I usually just plateau and stay in one place. I also have well over 100 pounds to lose. My first goal is 20 pounds.

    btw, one more thing about diet/exercise. ... not that i'm encouraging anyone not to exercise! but i've been working out hard for like 18 months but it wasn't 'till i finally REALLY worked on the food control that i started losing weight. so, exercise alone didn't do it. diet made all the difference.

    My MIL was the same way. She lost at least 50 pounds on weight watches without exercising. It was only when her weight loss stopped and ww did the 5K walk that she started to exercise. She has since lost probably another 40 pounds..

    Copy and paste the code into a word doc or email it to yourself. That's what I do. :D
