Unpasterized juice

Discussion in 'Pregnancy Help' started by JessicaHollenbeck, Jul 6, 2013.

Today I went to Wegmans craving freshly squeezed orange juice. It was made today and after drinking half of it I saw a label that stated a warning that it had not been pasteurized and it could contain bacteria...now I am freaking out because there are so many opinions on the Internet about this! My friends say they put the label on there to "cover their butts".

Isn't this the same as making it at home if it was made today or even the same as eating an orange?

Ugh this is my first pregnancy and I hope I didn't so anything wrong!! I just think about how our moms and generations before probably ate all the stuff we aren't supposed to today. I am just over protective of these little twins because my husband and I were trying for so long...sometimes I think I worry too much :-(

    Thanks!

You are fine! I promise. A lot of the warnings about these things are for liability reasons. I know it's hard not to worry but take a deep breath. And another. Feeling better? ;)
