I thought I would update you all with what has been going on. I am just over three weeks post op. The stitches have healed well! My abdomen is still extremely sore, a heat pad has become my best friend as well as a hot water bottle for my back. I am still on a lot of pain killers to deal with the pain as well as migraines I have been suffering due to the metformin which also makes me want to vomit. On top of that my immune system is shot and I have the flu.

The next surgery has been confirmed for the 31st of July, pre op appointment is the 27th. I am still down at my parents house though after being here for over three weeks i am ready to go home I miss my twin. I go home around the 14th.

I have to take another leave of absence from university next session as it starts on the 21st of July and I won't be able to go as i have to go back to my patents house so they can help me recover. I am going to do a course online in community services whlie stuck in bed. Since I would have a year to complete it.

Two sleeps left until surgery. The last 7 weeks have gone fast with a lot of pain. My gyno is concerned the endometriosis is inside my bowl and was goingto put off the surgery until after I see a different specialist on the 28th of August but thankfully decided to go ahead on Tuesday. Had a pre op appointment on Friday which went well.

I cut all pain killers out two weeks ago as they all stopped working due to being on them for so long. Yesterday i couldn't do anything due to unbearable pain, took pain killer and it actually worked so i guess i needed it out of my system. Even though the two weeks i stayed doing hardly anything i thought it was best to go without strong relief so it would work after surgery.

Please send let it go through vibes. I need to move on!

I've been thinking about you, but kept forgetting to respond to your post. I can't believe all the pain you've had to go through for all this time! I really hope this fixes it. Is the pain worse during your period, or is it the same all the time? Have they put you on the birth control pill to see if it helps balance things out? It really helps me. But it sounds like you must have such a severe case. Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

Thank you for your response Denise! Basically the last two periods were skipped due to d&cs being done. I started my period Friday and it has been dreadful! The last two days the bleeding is back to how it was before the first d&c tmi but its like a flood gate opening while i stand. Calling my gyno tomorrow. His putting another mirena in on Tuesday would that mean I'll need another d&c since i am bleeding badly? Going to warn him ahead of the time. I am on the pill, Diane 35 as its meant to be good for the pcos. His going to keep me on it as well as the mirena. Is it bad to be on 2 things? So sick of being in constant pain. Not what i pictured this year being! :(

He had to cancel all his afternoon patients as he had to reopen a patient he operated on in the morning. An emergency. So it is very understandable but still disappointing! Have spent all afternoon crying.

I cannot believe it takes that long between schedule dates where you are. That is just so wrong, when you're in that much pain. I'm really sorry you have to go through this for 8 more weeks. And I can't believe any doctor is ok with that! Ugh, so frustrating!

That is a long time, and I can't believe you're not a priority when your surgery is cancelled! I can see it getting bumped for an emergency, but you should still be at the top of the list after that. I would keep bugging the nurses to squeeze you in somewhere and/or just go plant yourself in the ER when the pain is bad and refuse to leave without surgery.

He only gets two days a month at the hospital he wants to do it so it takes ages. I'll hopefully know more on Thursday when it will be as the main receptionist emailed the hospital today and is going to talk to the gyno and call me. He had no other solutions in regards to what to do for the pain other then surgery when i seen him last week. 8 weeks, I dread waiting. I am wide awake at 2am as pain stops me from sleeping. I am seeing my gp Monday as well as an endocrinologist who i have been waiting since May to see. Exhausted!

I was on the top of the list for today, my case is marked as urgent the receptionist is going to do her best to try and get an earlier date but it means someone else would get bumped. If they don't call me Thursday I'll be calling them! I'll also get my gp to keep on it! I ended up in the ER three weeks ago as the pain was unbearable, their solution was a letter to my gp suggesting she refer me to a pain management clinic. Nothing for pain, my pain killers aren't working anymore. Apparently there is nothing they can do for me until surgery. :(

The 28th of August. The hospital just called. Which happens to be the same day as another specialist appointment. Have to call and reschedule it. Guess it's better then 6-8 weeks.

So... The 6th of September, the hospital called on Wednesday. They scheduled it on a day my gyno is on holidays. Fantastic, i have lost faith. If it goes ahead on the 6th my 21st birthday is on the 10th. Happy crappy birthday recovering to me. Poor Chloe gets to put celebrating off due to me. :(

So frustrating! I seriously cried when they called, the nurse who called couldn't stop apologizing as she's the one who called last, she didn't want to call. The 6 pairs of boots i brought the day they called didn't even improve my mood. The pre op appointment is booked for the 31st. The pain management clinic called my appointment isn't until the end of October. So that's not helpful really. :(

My doctor called to check in and she even stated i have the worst luck when it comes to having surgeries cancelled. She said even though things keep happening i am best staying with the gyno i am with instead of starting with another as it will be starting over with tests. Which i agree with plus this gyno is lovely and makes me comfortable so much so when one day he was doing an exam and i was more embarrassed about my immature house socks then what he was doing LOL!
If it is cancelled again, devastated won't describe it.

I had a gp appointment today and had her call my gyno and check the chances of it being cancelled next Thursday, everything is set on their end so the only way it will be cancelled is if the hospital cancels for some reason. They said that i am on the top of his list of people who need to be done. I have a pre op appointment tomorrow morning and will be asking them the same thing. Hoping everything goes ahead fine!

Thank you! It went ahead!! I am in a great deal of pain and have another hour until they can give me more morphine as nothing else even takes the edge off. I have a drain that will be removed tomorrow and have an oxygen nasal thing in as it hurts to breathe. It's going to be a long night!

Just another quick update, still in hospital and will be here over the weekend and if i am lucky i may get out Monday. They had me awake until 2am this morning doing tests as they thought i had a blood clot. Thankfully I don't. In agony though. Waiting for the nurses to come help me get out of bed to shower. Currently on oxygen as my lungs aren't getting enough air.

I'm so sorry for all that she's been through with this. It's horribly unfair. I hope this resolves things quickly so that Codie can recover and get back to normal.
