when do weekly appts. start?

just curious when these start...? and when i get closer to my due date will they check my cervix every visit?

 

Two week visits started for me at 28 weeks and weekly visits at 32 weeks. I never had my cervix checked till I was 38 weeks...a day before I was induced.

 

Every OB is different. My weekly visits started at 32 weeks, and my first check was at 35 weeks. (I really go in twice a week now though due to high BP.)

 

My weekly visits started at 30 weeks. I started cervix checks at like 32 weeks I believe.

 

My MW told me that appointments would be every 2 weeks starting at 20 weeks.. and every week starting at 30 weeks.. however.. because I was feeling so good at my last appointment (19 weeks) She gave me one more month before I started the every other week appointments. Now at 21.3 weeks I am not feeling as great as I did at 19 weeks.

 

I never had weekly appts! Only every other week.

 

My OB starts every two week visits for twins at 20 weeks - unless you have a higher risk pregnancy. I've been going to the OB and maternal fetal specialist (two appointments) each week and to the fetal cardiologist every two to four weeks for this last month due to TTTS concerns.

 

For my OB, my weekly visits didn't start until week 36. (born at 38) But I had a very laid back doctor and an uneventful pregnancy!

 

I have been going every two weeks since the beg. of the pregnancy (Due to uterine dydelphis). I started going once a week at 32 weeks - That is when she started checking my cervix as well.

 

With my doctor it depends on any PTL. For me, I started weekly appointments at 28 weeks when I had my first PTL. He checked me weekly after that too. He didn't check me this last time because after my last round of PTL I progressed to 3cm/75% and he's afriad of starting labor again.

 

I started 2 week checks at 22 weeks. He started weekly checks at 28 weeks. I had my cervix checked at every apt starting at I think 26 weeks.

i started every 2 weeks at 28 weeks and i think she said 32/34 weeks for weekly...my cervix has been checked every visit since week 14 just to be on the safe side!

 

I was being seen every 3 weeks by my OB and every 3 weeks by my peri til 34 weeks. Then I went to every week with my OB and every two weeks with my peri, plus twice weekly NSTs and AFIs because of a possible growth restriction of my baby girl. I had internal cervix checks at my growth scans every 3 weeks. I only had a couple manual ones at my OB's, they were kind of random. They stopped doing cervical checks for me at 36 weeks because at that point it didn't matter
