What is the Texas Twin Round-Up? -- The Texas Twin Round-Up is a one-day festival for twins, triplets and other higher-order multiples who live in the great state of Texas. The 3rd Annual Texas Twin Round-Up will be held at the Stafford Centre in Stafford, Texas on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004. Our inaugural event was at the Oil Ranch in Hockley, Texas on Saturday, April 6, 2002. Our second festival was held at Sienna Planation in Missouri City, Texas on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003. The Stafford Centre is about 15 miles southwest of downtown Houston.

Are only Twins allowed? -- Absolutely not! We encourage triplets, quadruplets, quints-and-higher (after all, Texas is home to sextuplets and the world's only octuplets, too!) and their families to join in the fun. Singletons are also welcome to join us although don't be surprised if you're gawked at if you attend the Round-Up without a multiple. Turnabout is fair play.

Do Twins/Triplets have to look alike to attend? --Again, a big absolutely not! As you can see on our contests page, we have plenty of opportunities for non look-alike multiples to be recognized. We want all types of multiples to join us--identical, same sex fraternal and opposite sex fraternal.

Do multiples have to dress alike at the Round-Up? --This answer might be slightly controversial for adult twins who haven't dressed alike in years, but the answer is a highly recommended 'yes'. For one day, the Texas Twin Round-Up gives all multiples a chance to enjoy their special bond. And for that reason, we want all multiples to look as much alike as they can at the Round-Up. For parents dressing their young twins, that probably won't be a problem. For adult twins who haven't dressed alike in years, it might mean a special shopping excursion together. Do what two of your twin webmasters did the first time they ever went to a twins festival--explain to the clothes store cashier in advance you don't normally dress alike but are buying the outfit for a special reason. Put it this way, on April 6 if you attend the Round-Up and aren't dressed like your twin, you will definitely stand out!

Will there be anything for my young twins to do at the Round-Up? --There will be many activities for youngsters at the Texas Twin Round-Up. Although the Round-Up is designed for multiples of all ages, we easily expect the majority of Twins who show up will be under the age of 8.

How about adult Twins? Are they welcome at the Round-Up? --Throwing aside the question of whether there exists such a thing as Twins who act like adults, we believe Oct. 16 will be the largest gathering of adult multiples the Lone Star State has ever seen! Part of the fun of attending a Twins festival such as the Texas Twin Round-Up is the opportunity to meet and talk to Twins of all ages. Bring your camera and plan to create many new friendships!

Do Twins have to live in Texas to attend? --Since this is the Texas Twin Round-Up, we certainly want at least one of the multiples to be a current resident of Texas. But there will be at least one contest where we'll recognize the Twin traveling the furthest to attend the Round-Up. So this gives separated Twins a great chance to call up their sibling and have a weekend Texas reunion! And in our inaugural event we did have twins attend from as far away as California and Canada. So y'all can be honorary Texans for the day!

Do we need to pre-register to attend? -- Families can show up at the Stafford Centre the day of the event and enter the festival grounds but you may have to deal with long registration lines at the gates and miss out some of the fun. We highly encourage you to pre-register early!

I'm interested in being a vendor at the Round-Up. Do you have information online on how to be a vendor? -- Yes! Complete vending information for the 2003 Texas Twin Round-Up is available online at this page.

We'll be coming from outside the Houston area to the Round-Up. How do we get there and where can we stay? -- We have some maps on how to find us in southwest Houston on this page. You should be able to find most major Texas highways on one of those maps to figure out how long and what route you should take if you plan on driving to the Round-Up. Houston has two major airports, Bush Intercontinental Airport and Houston Hobby Airport; if you're traveling by plane, we recommend flying into the closer airport to the Stafford Centre, Hobby Airport.
