Your Guide to the Best Bottle Sterilizer for Twins

0
best bottle sterilizer

Even though you can’t protect your babies from absolutely everything, keeping their feeding equipment clean can definitely protect them from germs.

This is especially important during their first year because their developing immune systems aren’t strong enough to fight infections yet, so it’s vital to keep them healthy.

Unfortunately, milk is a great environment for bacteria to grow–that’s why it’s important to wash your twins’ bottles after every feeding. In some cases, an additional step might be needed: sterilization.

Years ago, when water supplies weren’t reliably clean, sterilization was non-negotiable, but today it’s not necessary to do it very often. As mentioned above, it’s an added step, and it can provide more protection from germs than traditional cleaning. That being said, there are some occasions in which sterilization may be more convenient.

When Is a Baby Bottle Sterilizer Truly Necessary?

If your babies are premature

Babies that are born prematurely have an especially vulnerable immune system, so it’s ideal to sterilize their bottles for prevention.

If your babies are younger than three months old

When a baby is younger than three months old, their immune system is still very weak and needs extra protection.

How to Sterilize Baby Bottles

If you’re using a new bottle

Before using a new bottle for the first time, you should sterilize it at least once (in addition to washing it), since it was previously handled by other people during the manufacturing and packaging process.

If your babies have any health conditions

If one of your babies is sick, sterilize their bottle daily while they’re still recovering to prevent any lingering bacteria.

Additionally, if they have a health condition that weakens their immune systems, make sure to sterilize their bottle regularly as well.

If you’re using a borrowed bottle

There are moments when you might need to borrow a bottle from a family member or a friend–when you do, make sure to wash and sterilize it before using it.

Note: Although today, many people have access to clean drinking water, some people don’t–if this is your case, or if your water supply is compromised for a particular reason, you should sterilize your baby’s bottle daily for safety.

How Do You Sterilize Baby Bottles?

Simply put, sterilization is using a high temperature to kill bacteria–and when it comes to baby bottles there are different ways you can do it.

According to the CDC, the best methods overall are using boiling water, steam, or the dishwasher to ensure your baby’s bottles are squeaky-clean (and most importantly, safe!).

The Boiling Method

Boiling is a classic, reliable way to sterilize baby bottles. The process is simple:

  • First, wash the feeding equipment you’re going to sterilize.
  • Place all items and their parts in a large saucepan and cover them with water.
  • Bring the water to a boil and boil for about 5 minutes.
  • Let the items cool down, take them out, and let them air dry.
  • Place them in a clean, lidded container, and store them in the fridge for up to 24 hours (that’s how long the equipment remains sterile).

The Steamer Sterilizer: A Simple and Effective Sterilizing Method

Steamer sterilizers are a great tool to sanitize your babies’ feeding equipment quickly and effectively–plus, they’re typically affordable. These automatic units work by heating water to its boiling point and then using the steam to disinfect the items.

Usually, you wash the bottles and other feeding equipment first, then place them in the sterilizer (making sure there’s enough room between each item for the steam to circulate), add water according to the instructions, and switch the sterilizer on. After you sterilize and dry the items, you can store them in a clean, lidded container in the fridge.

If you want the best of both worlds, we’ve got good news: there are 2-in-1 bottle sterilizers and dryers available on the market. In fact, some of them will even sterilize, dry, AND allow you to store your baby’s feeding equipment all in the same container. Moreover, if you’re looking for the best baby bottle warmer, you can also find 2-in-1 warmers and sterilizers

Best Microwave Bottle Sterilizer

Microwave bottle sterilizers work very similarly to regular steam sterilizers, but they use the power of the microwave to create steam, and they can also be more affordable. You can try this one!

The Dishwasher as a Sterilizing Method

Who said the dishwasher is just for dishes? Because sterilizing baby bottles in it is actually a great hack! Just make sure to take some things into account:

best bottle sterilizer and dryer 2022

Many dishwasher models have a “sterilizing” mode, which uses very hot water and steam, and leaves the contents completely sanitized. If yours doesn’t have this option, you can use a normal washing cycle–the key is to choose the high heat drying cycle after (tip: be careful when taking them out, since they’ll probably be very hot!).

Moreover, remember that dishwasher cycles may take a little more time–but if you’re not in a rush, it can definitely be a great baby milk bottle sanitizer.

Are You On-The-Go? Use Sterilizer Bags

If you’re looking for an on-the-go, affordable way to sterilize your baby’s bottles, sterilizer bags are for you. This method consists of reusable steam sterilizing bags that you place in the microwave for 90 seconds… and voilà! You’ve got a sanitized and ready-to-use bottle.

Sterilizer bags are proven to kill 99.9% of germs and bacteria. They usually come in a pack, and each bag can be reused several times. They also typically include a check box or space on each bag to track the number of times you’ve used it.

This is one of those products that make traveling or busy, out-and-about days a lot easier! If you’re looking for other on-the-go products, the Genie Refill Diaper Bags or the ALVABABY Diaper Wet/Dry Bags are super helpful as well.

Chemical Sterilization

When you can’t sterilize baby bottles with other methods, the CDC says you can use chemical sterilization as a last resort. This refers to an antibacterial chemical solution that contains bleach diluted with water and comes in liquid or tablet form.

If you’re using this method, make sure to follow the instructions on the container carefully. Usually, the process consists of:

  • Use a container that has enough space to hold your baby’s bottles and feeding equipment.
  • Preparing the sterilizing solution using the recommended amount of water.
  • Submerging all the items in the solution and leaving it in for the recommended amount of time.

Although, yes, chemical sterilization is safe, it’s not your ideal first option.

So, the Best Bottle Sterilizer Award Goes To…

In brief, there isn’t ONE correct answer–it all comes down to what suits your family’s lifestyle best.

If you’re not looking to actually buy a new product, the boiling method or the dishwasher method may be your best options. But if you are, steamer sterilizers are a great tool to have, and you can definitely find affordable options in the market. On the other hand, if you’re looking for an on-the-go or travel option, go for the sterilizer bags.

We know thinking about protecting your babies from anything that may affect their health can be stressful. Our best advice is to focus on what you can control, but trying not to overstress–and even though it comes with ups and downs, allow yourself to enjoy parenthood fully. You can even make bottle feeding fun by getting matching items for your little ones, like our Drinking Buddies bibs!

Memorable Boy Baby Shower Themes

Boy Baby Shower Themes

Every family and group of friends is different, so everyone will have their own preferred style when it comes to baby showers.

However, some popular ideas for boy twins’ baby showers include a color-themed party with decorations, games, activities, food items in shades of that said chosen color, or a themed baby shower using sports, cartoons, or places for inspiration.

Are you Ready to Throw a Baby Shower Party?

So you’ll get ready to throw a baby shower party? Well, you won’t have to spend much to have a lot of fun. You can also get some hats, caps, t-shirts, matching outfits, or other dynamics you could share with the people that attend the meeting.

If you don’t want the party at your place, another option could be to have the party at a theme park or another fun location or to have a brunch or afternoon tea party. Choosing boy baby shower themes is a great way to start having fun in the process of parenthood and explore your creativity as a parent and have some fun with your family and friends.

You can use the theme you choose both at home or at a nice restaurant or cafe.

twins baby shower

No matter what the theme, some popular activities, and games that can be enjoyed at a baby shower include guessing the baby’s weight and sex, playing games like pin the diaper on the baby or baby bottle feeding, and eating a variety of foods and treats.

If you’re someone looking for ideas for gifts for a twin boy baby shower, how about some elephant toys for the boys,

Let’s explore some themes for your twin boys’ baby shower.

Jungle Themed Twin Boy Baby Shower

A jungle-themed shower is perfect for twin baby boys! The green and brown colors are perfect for a jungle theme, and the animal print accents add a fun touch. There are lots of cute details, like the monkey baby shower invitations and the animal print diaper cake. The favors are also adorable, with little monkey keychains and jungle animal erasers.

Some things you could include in the location of the party:

  • A banner that says “Welcome to the Safari“.
  • A few animal print balloons or drawings. You can also get giraffes, elephants, and tiger toys.
  • A few green and brown balloons to set the jungle mood.
  • Little trees or plants. You could envision this celebration on a terrace or an open space like a park or playground.
  • Some safari hats for all guests. If you want to go big, you can get some small binoculars for all guests as if they were in the African savannas.
  • A few signs that say things like “Welcome to the Jungle”, and you could even go wild and play “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns and Roses.

Also, how about a few maps of the Sahara, Africa, or the Amazon. This is a great suggestion when it comes to decoration and planning. Some of your guests might even agree to have a little jungle-themed outfit. Remember, they’ll be pictures of this day, so how about some laughs and memories.

twin boy names
If you’re looking for ideas for presents, all parents need certain things for their baby twins. A camera system would be an excellent gift for when the babies are born or a twin crib for when they’re sleeping.

A safari baby shower would be a fun and unique shower for the mom-to-be and dad-to-be. This shower could be themed around animals, nature, and the outdoors. Guests could also bring gifts for the baby that are themed around nature or the outdoors.

When you finish with the celebration and depending on the things you use for it, you could even use them in future jungle-themed activities and celebrations, and this stuff might be useful for something like twin babies’ birthday number two.

If you’re not planning on reusing the jungle-themed stuff, you could sell the materials in some cases.

Construction-themed Baby Shower

Remember Bob the builder? Why don’t you use your imagination to throw your baby shower with construction materials and perks, small stuff for decoration that can be easily found in a home depo?

You could use:

  • Paint, either by painting something as an architect or a builder would do, or just having some cans of paint around. This will create a unique atmosphere that will place everyone in the construction theme.
  • As you know, Bricks are a basic building material that would be in almost every construction you find. If placing cans of paint around would set the tone for construction, having bricks in the place of your baby shower will transform everyone into a builder for a couple of hours.

Boy baby shower themes

  • A ruler, cones, traffic signs, safety glasses, and caution tape.
  • Construction and hard hats.
  • Trucks and cars.
  • Little tools or Lego sets.

How about a Winnie the Pooh Baby Shower?

Do you remember Winnie the Pooh? The clumsy yellow bear with his cute friends. Having your baby shower set with elements of this cartoon will make some really cute memories with the family and friends that accompany you to your baby shower.

Someday, the grown babies might even look at pictures of the event and share that memory with you even when they weren’t born when it happened. You could even explain what was Winnie The Pooh all about (we can’t) or what were Piglet and Igor doing all the time.

Here are some Winnie the Pooh twin boy baby shower ideas:

A simple way to decorate for a Winnie the Pooh-themed baby shower is to hang yellow and black streamers and put up images of Winnie the Pooh and his friends. Another option is to set up a few different areas in the room that correspond to a different shower aspect. One could be for games, one for refreshments, and one for presents.

For the games, one idea is to set up a few stations where guests can play different games related to Winnie the Pooh. Another idea is to put together a scavenger hunt where guests have to find certain objects or pictures related to Winnie the Pooh.

When it comes to refreshments, guests can enjoy a variety of Winnie the Pooh-themed snacks and drinks. Some ideas include honey pots, honey cake, and Winnie the Pooh fruit cups. For the gift area, guests can either put their presents under a Winnie the Pooh-themed banner or in a designated spot in the room. You can also have flowers and picnic baskets.

outdoor baby shower
If you think you could do this event outdoors, the event can basically be a picnic.

Would You Like to Imagine your Twin Boys as Sailors?

Here’s another idea for your baby shower: a sea scenario.

You could get some maritime maps, maybe a little rubber, some model boats, and sailor outfits, and you now have a sea-themed baby shower. Someday, you could do a re-edition of the event when your baby twins are born.

Just imagine using the same props again and calling the same friends and family to repeat the sailor’s reunion a couple of years later. This is an easy and cheap way to celebrate and recycle.

We know that this is an idea for boy twins, but if there are baby girls coming to the baby shower, or if one of the attendees wants to have an outstanding outfit for the baby shower, mermaids would be the perfect fit. So watch out, your sailors-themed baby shower might turn into a sailors’ and mermaids’ party

Unique Baby Shower Themes for Boy: Choose your Favorite

Stop everything, we have a baby shower party soon! It doesn’t matter when, or with whom will you do it, but a baby shower is not only a great moment to fulfill important needs but also an opportunity for an exciting event for memories in the future.

baby shower favors

The theme you choose for the party influences the way you set the space for the party, the colors for the themes, the props you use, and the activities you’ll do with family and friends during the baby shower.

One thing you should consider is that photos will be most definitely taken during the baby shower, so every visual aspect of the celebration is important, from outfits to colors, to decoration.

The Double Bottle Warmer: Is it a Game Changer for Twins?

0
Double Bottle Warmer

Bottle feeding can be tricky, from finding the best formula to buying the right equipment to warming and sterilizing the bottles. Not to mention trying to settle a hungry, crying baby–or worse, two.

But don’t panic. While it takes some practice at first, you’ll get the hang of it sooner than you think, and getting to know your options can help.

When it comes to bottle warmers, many people think it’s one of those extra products that aren’t truly necessary. It makes sense, considering there are other ways to heat baby bottles. However, bottle warmers can save you a lot of time–and sleep–compared to other methods, especially double bottle warmers, if you have twins!

Double Bottle Warmers: What You Need to Know

First things first: what is a bottle warmer? It is a gadget that warms bottles of breast milk or formula safely, using either steam or hot water. Most of them run on electricity, but there are some options on the market that run on batteries.

Bottle warmers usually have features like different heat and temperature-control settings, digital timers, and automatic shut-off switches that prevent overheating. But the main advantage they offer is as simple as having a ready-to-go meal at an ideal temperature in a short amount of time.

stroller for twins

Double bottle warmers–or twin bottle warmers–are the same, except they can warm up two bottles at a time instead of one, which can make feeding twins a lot easier.

How Do Bottle Warmers Work?

There are different types of bottle warmers on the market, and most of them work either with a water bath, a heating plate, or steam.

For those that use water bath warming, you usually place the bottle in the warmer’s water bath and select the desired temperature. On the other hand, when the warmer works with a heating plate, you attach the bottle to it and select the temperature.

For warmers that use steam, you put a measured amount of water at the bottom of the warmer and place the bottle on top.

The Different Types of Baby Milk

Technically, bottle warmers can be used to warm any type of baby milk. Let’s go over the different options:

  • Powder formula: Powder formula is made to be mixed with water before feeding it to a baby, and it’s the most affordable formula on the market.
  • Concentrated liquid formula: Liquid formula also needs some water added to it, but it can be easier to prepare–however, it’s more expensive than powder formula.
  • Ready-to-feed formula: This is the most convenient–and also the most expensive–formula on the market. Just like its name indicates, it’s ready to use, so you don’t need to add anything to it before feeding.
  • Breast milk: Breast milk can be stored in the refrigerator or freezer to use later (freshly pumped breast milk lasts up to 4 days in the refrigerator and up to 12 months in the freezer, but it’s best to consume it within 6 months). Although it can be fed at room temperature or cold, you can warm it using a bottle warmer.

how many baby bottles do i need

It’s important to note that while concentrated and ready-to-feed formulas are sterile, powder formula is not. This is why powder formula should be sterilized using boiled water before feeding it to the baby.

In this case, a bottle warmer would be useful if you’re making the powder formula in advance and refrigerating it. You should use it within 24 hours and can use a bottle warmer to warm it before feeding it to your baby.

What Are the Benefits of Warming Your Baby’s Milk?

The main reason why people warm their babies’ milk is preference. When babies are breastfed, the breast milk is naturally at body temperature–so it makes sense that warm milk gives them the most comfort. But ultimately, there aren’t any medical reasons to warm baby milk.

Does this mean babies can drink cold milk? Believe it or not, yes. Babies who are formula-fed or drink breast milk from a bottle can drink it warmed or straight-from-the-refrigerator cold.

However, preference does affect how well your baby feeds, and you may find cold milk to be unsuccessful. So if you’re struggling with feeding them, experimenting with different temperatures can be beneficial.

You can also experiment with different baby bottles–some bottles, such as the Comotomo Baby Bottles, are designed to mimic breastfeeding, which helps the baby latch more smoothly. They offer a comforting, skin-like feel and have anti-colic vents that help prevent colic, gas, and spit-up.

The Don’ts of Warming Milk

Although many babies like their milk warm, there are some cautions you should take when heating it. The first no-no is none other than the microwave: you should never heat cold breast milk or formula milk in the microwave since it can leave hot spots and burn your baby’s mouth or esophagus, as well as kill essential nutrients.

You should also be careful not to overheat the milk–many of its beneficial qualities can disappear if the temperature exceeds 176ºF. For instance, if you’re using a bottle warmer, set it to a lower heat, and if you’re using a water bath, try using warm water instead of boiling water. Additionally, avoid reheating milk that has already been warmed.

What is the Easiest Bottle Warmer to Use?

You can find several different types of bottle warmers–the most convenient one for you depends on your particular case.

Steam vs. Water Bath

The most common bottle warmers will typically use either steam or a water bath to heat them. These warmers usually have a thermostat and an indicator that goes off when the milk has reached the optimal temperature. Some of them also have a timer, which can be quite useful as well.

Double Bottle Warmer

Electric vs. Battery-Powered

Although most bottle warmers are plug-in appliances, some non-electric ones are also available–most of them rely on batteries, but some of them work with insulation.

Bottle and Food Warmers

Some bottle warmers are designed to heat both milk and baby food. They usually require a little more care to keep them clean, but they can make feeding your baby a lot easier and are useful.

Double Bottle Warmers for Twins

Heating up one bottle at a time can be quite the headache if you have not one, but two hungry babies. Double bottle warmers have room to heat two bottles simultaneously, which makes them lifesavers if you have twins.

If this is your case, the adorable TwinStuff bibs and onesies can also make twin parenting easier–and more fun!

Worried About Travel? Use a Portable Milk Warmer

If feeding your baby on the go or while traveling stresses you out, a car or portable milk warmer may be the solution.

Yes–there are bottle warmers designed to take wherever you go! Some use batteries, others use insulation, and others can be connected to your car’s DC connector with an adaptor.

diaper bag

For instance, the Tommee Tippee Travel Bottle Warmer comes with a flask, which keeps water warm, and a beaker, where you place the bottle and then pour the warm water over it. Its compact design makes it easy to carry around in your baby’s diaper bag and holds all standard-sized bottles.

The Bottom Line: Are Double Bottle Warmers Worth It?

As we’ve mentioned before, feeding a baby (times two) can be stressful. You may be struggling to feed your twins, but even if you’re not, preparing everything for feeding every few hours can still get exhausting–not to mention a hungry baby can lose their patience quite easily.

Although in the end, it comes down to personal preference, we believe that yes, double bottle warmers are worth it. Are they an absolute necessity? No. But we consider them to be worth it because they’re one of the products that can make life with twins so much easier.

If you do decide to purchase one, note that the best double bottle warmer for your twins depends on your specific needs. Do you want a simpler option? Or do you want a bottle warmer and sterilizer? Or maybe a bottle and food warmer? Do you prefer a plugin bottle warmer or one that uses batteries? which is the best double bottle warmer for twins? We recommend you look at different options and use a guide, like this one, to help you out.

In the end, it’s all about getting to know your babies and what’s best for them. Remember to have patience with yourself and enjoy the process!

8-Weeks Pregnant with Twins Ultrasound: All you Need to Know

0
8-Weeks Pregnant with Twins Ultrasound

Once you find out you’ll be a parent, you want to know everything: will it be a girl? A boy? Could they be twins? Will I be able to put these super cute onesies on them? You will ask yourself lots of questions, and worst of all, you will not have the answers right away. And we get it: not being sure of what will come can be a bit distressing, especially if you are someone who loves to have everything well planned.

Fortunately, you stepped into this article… Congratulations! Here you’ll find many answers to your questions although, to tell the truth, your doubts will only be resolved when you have your first ultrasound in your first prenatal, which you can do in week 8 of pregnancy to have a result that can be considered reliable.

Is the 8-week Ultrasound the Best Way to Know if You’re Having Twins?

Plain and simple: Yes. Ultrasound is the best way to find out if you will be the mother of one child, twins or if it will be multiple births. You can do it on week 8 or a few weeks later to be more certain, depending on how much you can handle curiosity. Is it infallible? No. There have been cases where one embryo covers the other and it is impossible to see more than one. But that is exceptional. Normally, the doctor will be able to give you definitive information.

when do you find out the gender of twins

Anyways, you shouldn’t worry. It’s not that you’ll find out the day of delivery. During the pregnancy there will be at least 2 more ultrasounds -each one should be done every three months- to monitor the baby and with them, you’ll be able to confirm the information that you got in the first ultrasound appointment.

What is Ultrasound Used For?

Ultrasound is a technique that uses sound waves to show images of the baby inside the womb. To do this, a conductive gel is smeared on the expectant mother’s belly, and then a small handheld scanner is slid over the gel. Be careful: the gel can be very cold -don’t say no one warned you.

Note that ultrasound can also be performed intravaginally. It is done, more than anything, in the early stages: between weeks 6 and 7 to check that the implantation of the embryo has occurred correctly and confirm the pregnancy.

What you Will See During the 8-Weeks Pregnant with Twins Ultrasound

Precisely during week 8, the passage from embryo to fetus is ending. If they are twins, you’ll see two embryos forming -and there, you’ll finally be able to know the answer to your big question-. As for the gender, it won’t be possible to determine since the organs are still being formed and the embryos will be very small. You may have to wait until week 22 to find out.

You will be able to see the creation of new organs and tissues. Babies’ hearts will be at 150 beats per minute -twice as fast as yours- and certain features will start to appear defined: the cells of the teeth will have already begun to develop as well as their palates. They will have bulging parts on their heads that will become their ears, and vital organs such as their brains, livers, and kidneys will develop more each day.

8 weeks pregnant with twins ultrasound

You will see one-third of an inch long embryos: the size of a raspberry. And from there, only growth: almost a millimeter every day! Each one will weigh about 0.04 ounces and from there you will start to feel an increasing weight.

Their skin is as thin as paper and you’ll be able to distinguish their arms and legs, as well as their hands and feet; their little fingers will still be forming, though.

Is Ultrasound Safe?

Yes. Most studies have shown that the limited use of ultrasound during pregnancy will not harm any baby. According to the FDA and ACOG, there is no evidence that this technique can damage a developing fetus. Also, these aren’t tests that use x-rays or radiation, so there is nothing to worry about.

However, scientists aren’t entirely sure whether long exposures to ultrasound can be dangerous. Therefore, your visits will be controlled and safe. Experts are convinced that you can rest easy, especially with this technology since it has worked for millions of mothers for more than 40 years. As a matter of fact, today it is unthinkable not to use this technique during pregnancy.

Should you Simply Trust the Signs That You Are Having Twins?

Just as there are many mothers of twins who claim to have suspected that they would have two children at birth, there are many others who are totally caught off guard. So, it is very difficult to determine if, by the simple fact of feeling it or suspecting it, there will be twins. Let’s look at the different symptoms that mothers of twins feel.

Twin Pregnancy Symptoms

They are the same symptoms of a normal pregnancy, although many mothers mention that those are enhanced when dealing with twins. However, as we mentioned before, feeling them very strongly doesn’t automatically mean that you are going to have twins.

  • Bloating: the progesterone hormone that is produced in pregnancy causes your digestion to slow down, which will make you feel bloated.
  • More sickness in the morning: increased nausea and dizziness (more common during the first trimester of pregnancy).

is morning sickness worse with twins

  • Severe fatigue: drowsiness, numbness, and exhaustion.
  • Growth of the belly: this can be a sign of pregnancy of twins but just at the end of the pregnancy, not at the beginning.
  • Fetal movement earlier than normal: normally, it starts from week 18 to 25. Keep in mind that these movements can also be confused with gas or stomach aches.
  • Weight gain: the normal, in a twin pregnancy, is to have a weight 10 ounces higher than that of a normal pregnancy. However, this also varies greatly depending on the mother’s body type.
  • More frequent urination: You will feel the urge to urinate more and with more urgency due to the increased amount of blood flow in your body and the hormones of pregnancy.
  • Increase in vaginal discharge: remember that if you feel strong odors or abnormal consistency, you should mention it to your doctor.

If you feel these symptoms, don’t get ahead of yourself. It doesn’t mean that you are going to be a mother of beautiful twins! The best way to be sure is by performing an ultrasound to clear up doubts and not let yourself be carried away by hunches.

“But my Pregnancy Belly is Huge; it Must be Twins!”

There are multiple signs of twin pregnancy at 8 weeks. As mentioned before, a possible sign that you are going to be a mother of twins is the size of your belly. However, this should happen much later in the pregnancy. In the eighth week, the embryos are so small that it is normal for the belly to grow only a bit.

Many mothers of twins say that their bellies appeared after the first trimester of pregnancy. However, it wasn’t a giant belly, so much so that many couldn’t notice any pregnancy.

But, the big belly, which everyone will be able to see, will appear. That’s for sure! Use this lotion to avoid stretch marks during your pregnancy.

Tips for a Big Belly of Twins During the First Semester

– Sleep by side: It’s normal for many women to find it difficult to sleep on their stomachs long before the middle of their pregnancy. You will discover it naturally when it is not comfortable for you to sleep like this.

– Don’t worry if your belly is very big: Let the doctor take care of it, he will always check your size and weight, and he will be the one to determine if something needs more attention.

multiple gestations

-Buy lots of pillows: for the office seat, for the car, for your house. They will help you relieve the back, foot, and extremity pain that you may feel.

-Get a prenatal massage: your doctor can recommend someone to do it.

-Get a maternity support belt. Trust us with this one!

-Buy a pregnancy pillow to sleep on. It’s a total game-changer.

-Put your feet up when they hurt.

-Wear loose pants or leggings.

8-Weeks Pregnant with Twins Ultrasound: Why It’s Important

Once you learn you are pregnant, you want to know everything about it: Will it be a boy? Will it be a girl? Or maybe twins? And the only way to find out is with an ultrasound. With the 8-weeks pregnant with twins ultrasound, you will be able to know if you are expecting twins and have the first real look at your babies. It’s possible that you may feel and be sure you are carrying twins but be careful: many mothers were wrong in the past. So, if you want to be sure, go for the ultrasound and follow our advice.

Boy and Girl Twins: A Surprise Full of New Questions

0
Boy and Girl Twins

“Congratulations, they’re twins!” is surely a line that you have repeated in your head now that you know you’ll be a parent. And if you were to listen to those words, could they be boy and girl twins?

The answer is “Yes”, and it would be a real stroke of good luck! With just one attempt you will already have two little brothers, you will fulfill the dream of “having the couple” and you won’t have to answer the repetitive -almost as a loop- question: what do you prefer to have, a boy or a girl? Also, if you want a girl and your partner a boy, both will be happy! And you won’t suffer from that random goal that many parents impose on themselves: “If we have a boy, the second must be a girl.”

Knowing that having boy and girl twins is one of the best news you can receive and that you will surely have many questions, we are here to help you and to give you the necessary information so that the birth of boy and girl twins doesn’t take you by surprise.

What are the Odds of Having a Boy and Girl Twins?

The truth is that this answer depends on whether your twins will be fraternal or identical. Do you have no idea what we’re talking about? Calm down, we’ll explain it to you.

Fraternal Twins

Scientifically they are called dizygotic twins. “Di” refers to “two” and “zygotic” comes from “zygote”, an egg cell produced by fertilization. This means that these twins are born from two different eggs that were fertilized by different sperm.

Gifts for Twin Baby Boys and Girls

If you don’t remember your biology classes at school, you may be wondering: How is this possible? This can happen if two or more oocytes (which will later become eggs) are released during a woman’s cycle and are fertilized.

The result will be fraternal twins -or non-identical twins- and they are the most common type of twin. They share 50% of their genes and have the same genetic similarity as two siblings who were born at different times.

So, what is the possibility that these types of twins are boys and girls? Just like having a boy or a girl in a typical pregnancy, the chance of having boy and girl twins is one in two.

Identical Twins

Many will say that having identical twins of the opposite gender is impossible. But they are wrong by a very short margin: only 0.1% of boy and girl twins are identical.

Identical or monozygotic twins (which come from a single egg and semen) share the same genetic information in 100%, and at some point, the fertilized egg splits in two, generating two embryos with the same genes and the same gender.

But in extremely rare cases, when the zygote divides in two, a copy of the Y chromosome gets lost in one of the embryos, causing one of them to be male and the other female. This is known as the Turner Syndrome.

Now You’ll Be Asking Yourself: When can the Gender of the Twins be Known?

Today there are two ways to find out: via blood tests or via ultrasound.

Blood Tests

Although there is no specific blood test to determine the gender of twins, there are some routine tests that can give us clues to solve the mystery. Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (or NIPT) is performed at the tenth week of pregnancy and is used to detect Down Syndrome. This test shows the DNA of your babies but, as it shows results from both children, it is not 100% reliable.

If NIPT indicates the presence of a Y chromosome, be prepared to be the father of at least one baby boy. If no Y chromosome appears, you will almost certainly have two girls. However, an ultrasound will be necessary a few weeks later to be assured.

The Ultrasound

It is usually done at the 12 or 13 weeks of pregnancy, but is it decisive? You must bear in mind that ultrasounds give visible results to the eye; If a leg covers the sex of a baby or its little brother covers it, it doesn’t matter how hard you try to see from any angle, it is impossible to determine the sex.

when do you find out the gender of twins

But don’t worry. Twin pregnancies are usually more closely monitored than the others, so there will be more chances to see the sex of the babies with a new ultrasound. At 18 weeks, a very good technician with the ultrasound should be able to give you an answer.

Our recommendation is to take it easy. Curiosity may eat you up or maybe you want to define how to decorate the children’s room, or your friends and family are already pressuring you to know the gender to buy gifts. But it is better not to rush; if you want, go buy things that don’t depend on gender such as diapers, the stroller, the crib, the booster seats, etc.

Once They’re Born, What Should I do?

Watching them grow will be the most exciting part of your life as a parent and there are certain things you can do to help them grow happy and balanced.

Remember that twins are way too similar

It may sound obvious but remember, it will help you to always keep this in mind: you should encourage differentiation between them as much as possible so that each one has its own identity, independent of the other.

Although this is easier for boy and girl twins, since they usually have different groups of friends as they grow up, you cannot forget that they will act a lot alike for the simple fact of accompanying each other and sharing everything since birth.

Therefore, always try to call them by their names. Don’t generalize by saying “the twins”. Also, seek to recognize their own merits without falling into comparisons -this usually produces self-esteem issues-; and, on the other hand, you can motivate them to do extracurricular activities separately, in addition to the ones they share.

Types of Diaper Rash

You need to show them that they need more friends, not just their siblings. Since they usually have this idea of not needing nobody else, it makes it difficult for them to relate with more people.

By doing this, you help to cut possible dependency problems that appear in adulthood; where it has been noted that twins generate neediness and difficulties in developing couple relationships or when choosing a professional career.

The idea is to find a midpoint where everything they share and has in common is celebrated and valued because they have an unparalleled bond. But it is also important to show them the values of enjoying an autonomous life.

Similar but Different

It is easier to tell them apart when having boy and girl twins. And you can make that even clearer with boy and girl twins clothes.

We indeed love to dress twins in the same clothes, they just look adorable. But on the matter of accentuating their individuality, why not dress them in clothes that complement each other? It can be identical clothes but of different colors. Or if one has a message, let the other complete it like these adorable onesies.

This idea can also work with the selection of your twins’ names. Many parents think of giving them the same names by simply changing the gender or giving them the same name but in a different language.

best highchairs for twins

But remember, the important word here is “individuality”, so why not give them names that follow the same concept? For example Alexandra and Edmund, both mean “Defender of mankind”. Or maybe you can use boy and girl twins names that rhyme like Dylan and Gillian.

Is There Something Else I Should Know?

There are tons more! But for now, starting with this will serve you in case you are going to be the parent of boy and girl twins. Just try to take it easy. You will witness a unique relationship: the connection between your two children will be exceptional and you’ll be surprised by how deep it can be. So, enjoy it, celebrate it, and make sure you give your boy and girl twins all the love they deserve. Always make sure to foster and protect their individuality.

When thinking about twins, questions arise, one of them is about the gender of the children. Can there be boy and girl twins? And the answer is a resounding “yes”. To answer you, we’ll see how high the chances are to deliver one girl and one boy, what is the difference between fraternal and identical twins, when is it normal to detect their gender, how NIPT and ultrasound can help us to do that detection and, in the end, we will give you some recommendations on raising boy and girl twins to promote their individuality.

What Should I Consider Before Buying a Twins Stroller With Car Seats?

Car seats of twins strollers are made to make your life easier. Its objective is that you can take your twins wherever you want, without restrictions and in the safest way possible. They give you the versatility to use them inside a car as a car seat, on the street as a stroller, or separately when it is not possible to enter the stroller somewhere.

They are ideal for moving your babies from the car to the stroller without waking them up or removing all the security seat belts.

baby stroller in a car

Having this in mind, there are some things you should think about before acquiring a stroller with car seats for your twin babies. Comfort, size, weight, and other variables come into play to make the best decision. Let’s explore them:

Size of The Stroller Seats

You should especially consider this one if you have a car that is your main means of transportation. Make sure your twin car seats can fit through the car’s door with the car seat adapters on. Otherwise, it won’t work for you.

That is why it is good to keep in mind the dimensions of the car door when buying a twins stroller with car seats. As an extra little piece of advice, pay extra attention to the side-by-side strollers; with the car seat attachments on, lots of those car seats can’t go through a common vehicle’s door.

Weight is an Important Factor When You Have Twins

Remember that you won’t be carrying just one baby but two. So, you must think about the weight of the stroller seats’ materials.

Our advice is to think of something light and resistant than either of you can carry without ending up exhausted. There will be many times when you’ll have to carry one car seat in every arm, and the weight will make the whole difference.

Look for Similar Space for Each of Your Twins

You will find twin strollers on the market that have one seat larger than the other. This works perfectly for siblings that were not born the same day.

But, with twins, things are a bit different. Check that the spaces are the same for both as well as the same weight resistance. Since the twins usually share the same measurements -they will thank you for that…

And pushing the stroller will be more balanced and easier for you.

Cargo Space

The space you have for carrying diapers, clothes, blankets, feeding bottles, and the extra goodies on your stroller basket is very important! You don’t want to go with your babies for a walk and realize that you missed something because it didn’t fit and you couldn’t take it with you. You will immediately feel that you made a mistake in your purchase. Remember that you are carrying stuff for two; so, you need to also double the space.

That’s why it’s not so crazy (or maybe it is?) to see couples take their diapers and all they need to the stores to confirm that everything fits inside the strollers’ basket. Believe me, I have seen that!

If you are looking for great cargo space, check out this stroller for twins. We can assure it: with a product like that, you don’t need extra storage space. You’ll find that strollers are great to take everything your twins need everywhere you go.

Comfort

Of course! What we want most is for our babies to be comfortable. So, ask yourself: Is there enough space for them? Can the seat’s internal material cause a rash? Is it hot enough? Is it too hot? Can the material of the seat protect them from the UV rays, the sun, and the rain? Answer these questions and you’ll get a better idea of what to look for.

Tip: don’t look for too hot materials for the stroller car seat interior, since in such small spaces temperatures can rise quite a bit. You can also look for something extra that warms them but does not heat up too much, which helps you maintain the correct temperature of your babies, like these blankets

Easy to Carry Around: Twin Travel Stroller

You should look for a stroller for twin babies in which it is easy to separate -the seats from the wheels- and to open and close. You are going to be with your hands full, dealing with two babies, and the last thing you want is to have problems storing the wheels of the stroller in your car.

The idea when looking for a twins stroller with car seats is that you can do everything with a few simple moves and that is easy to travel with.

This Graco twin stroller with car seats is perfect for traveling, is very compact, and accepts two Graco infant car seats.

Think of Where you Want to go With your Twins

We recommend looking for a twins stroller with car seats that will work on any terrain. It doesn’t matter if you want to take a short walk with your babies on a quiet city street, or if you prefer to drive the stroller on grass or more difficult terrain. The idea is that they always have a smooth and pleasant ride, whether you go for a walk or even a jog with them.

That’s why so many strollers come with shocks, so your little ones don’t feel the bumps and they can simply enjoy a beautiful walk with their parents and their favorite baby feeding bottle (Hey, your babies will love this one, trust us!)

It’s a Lot to Keep in Mind

From the size to the weight, the space of the hod, the carrying basket, the comfort, and the usability, there are a lot of things to evaluate when searching for a twins stroller with car seats. But don’t worry; you will find it. The ideal stroller with car seats for your twins does exist! And you can always count on us at Twinstuff to help you find it.

So, enjoy the trip with your little ones!

What Are the Odds of Having Twins?

0
Odds of Having Twins

There is a small chance of having twins if you are pregnant. Imagine the gift of life, times two. When you find out its twins, the journey and the changes for your life as a parent will come bigger. Don’t worry, though, having twins is beautiful.

But what are the odds of having twins, anyway? This is a topic widely investigated by doctors and researchers, as having twins isn’t rare but it isn’t common either.

The odds of having twins are about 1 in every 250 natural births.

So what is it like to expert twins? What to do or to prepare?

Twin pregnancy: Odds of Having Twins

If you are pregnant with twins, you can expect to have a longer and a little bit more difficult pregnancy than if you are pregnant with one baby. You will experience some issues such as gestational diabetes and preeclampsia, but this is normal.

Odds of Having Twins

You should also know that twins siblings are also more likely to be born prematurely. This isn’t bad for the babies or their mothers, but sometimes it helps to have everything prepared sooner than with a regular pregnancy.

Types of Twins

There are two types of twins: identical and fraternal. Identical twins happen when one fertilized egg splits in two and becomes two babies. This happens in about 1 in 100 pregnancies. Fraternal twins happen when two separate eggs are fertilized by two different sperm cells. This happens in about 1 in 25 pregnancies.

These Are Some Signs That Might Indicate That You’re Having Twins

All future mothers experience certain symptoms and changes in their bodies because of their pregnancies. These symptoms can be like vomiting a little, nauseous, or feeling tired all day. Some of these are different when twin babies are coming.

So, if you know you’re having a baby, but also you notice some of the following things, consider speaking to your doctor. You might be carrying two babies:

  • A family history of twins.

If there have been twins in your family tree, there’s an increased chance you’ll have twins if you’re pregnant.

  • Taking fertility drugs or using assisted reproductive technologies (ART).

These techniques are used to increase the chances for fertility, so the chances for twins also grow.

  • Being over the age of 35: Odds of Having Twins by Age

What are the chances of having twins after 35? If you’re a future mom over 35, having twins is a little bit more possible.

Other Symptoms

If you are pregnant with twins, you may also experience other different symptoms. We can say these are more “medical”. They are good evidence of twin pregnancy because women who are pregnant with a single baby won’t experience them.

They are:

  • Higher levels of hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) in your blood

To have accurate results for this, a specialist would need to perform certain blood tests on you. If you suspect you’re having twins and want to be sure, you should go to your doctor and ask if you could have a blood test.

  • Heavier weight gain

Of course, right? If you carry one baby it’s just a baby’s weight. With twins, it’s double.  This will also include an increase in body mass index (BMI).

  • Greater nausea and vomiting.

As a future mother, you know that maternity comes with certain challenges. Vomiting and nausea during pregnancy ain’t pretty, but it’s normal. With twins, you’ll have a little more.

  • More pronounced fetal movement.

You know that feeling when your baby kicks in your belly? It’s cute, isn’t it? Well, if you’re expecting twins, expect it times two. That gentle flutter that you feel in your stomach won’t come because of one but two babies!

Uh, and also you’ll need twin-specific ultrasound measurements and more frequent ultrasound scans from your doctors if you’re having twins.

Speaking of devices and twins, we have something that might help you a lot when you have twins. If you’re one of those moms or dads that like to have a camera around your babies to watch them while you’re not home, check out this camera system for twins

You’ll be able to place two cameras, each for a twin, and watch their live feed on a single screen. Monitor your baby twins while you are doing important stuff and when they are sleeping.

What Kind of Items Would I Need if I Have Twins?

As we’ve said, you will need twice as much of everything for twins! Twice as much of baby clothes, diapers, wipes, and other supplies. You will also need to plan for twice the feedings and diaper changes.

If you have twins, you will need a lot of extra supplies. You will need two cribs, two changing tables, two high chairs, and two strollers. You will also need twice as many clothes, diapers, and wipes.

Let’s talk about twin baby strollers. Here’s a clear example of how having two babies instead of one impacts the decisions about the things you should buy for them. You should consider this kind of mindset when it comes to buying everything for your twins.

5 Things You Must Know About Twin Baby Strollers

0

Carrying a baby can sometimes be a challenge in parenthood. Distances are long and the world is full of adventure. You might be going with your twins to the mall for a light afternoon, or you can be in the supermarket shopping for groceries. Either way, go with your twins.

Pushing the strollers around must not be a physical challenge, although some parents use it as a workout. Yes. You can also exercise with your twin baby strollers. The stroller is a little bigger than the one for just one baby, so the ride can be funny!

These strollers often have a variety of features and are perfect for parents who want to take both of their kids to the park or beach. Mommies, daddies, and even grandpas or grandmas can handle strollers and transport their twins.

Twin Baby Strollers

What is a Good Stroller for Twins?

You should consider a few things before buying your stroller. For example, if you know you’ll be doing workouts accompanied by your twins, try a durable stroller that is easy to push and not too heavy

If you’re thinking of moving around the city and running errands with your twins, look for one that is easy to fold and versatile. This will not only provide comfort when moving it but also safety for you and your twins.

We have some facts and tips for you before getting a twin stroller. We think every parent should keep them in mind before buying the perfect stroller for their twins. Wheels, brakes, and other features from the stroller can also influence the decision.

Also, check out below a few strollers that we recommend for daily use.

Facts About Twin Baby Strollers

As a parent, you need to consider certain factors when buying a stroller. Durable? Easy to fold? Safe? All these are questions to ask when looking for the correct product. A stroller is important because it lets you do your activities while you have your kids next to you. Also, it’s a mode of “kids transport” that helps you get to places and appointments with them.

This becomes more evident when it comes to twins, as everything always goes x2. Your needs for a stroller will depend on you and your family’s lifestyle, and the plans you usually do with your kids. Maybe the best stroller for going to the shopping mall is not the same as the best stroller to walk by the beach as a workout.

The choice comes to comfort and transportation. Some baby strollers are also mobile, so you’ll get to move them around with ease. Some others are practical and easily handled, as they fit in a small SUV and have good folding options.

With a more mobile stroller, you’ll have the option to move as easily as when it is a stroller for one baby.

can identical twins be boy and girl

The strollers also adapt to both of the twins’ weights and ages. You can arrange them in a certain way to have one of the babies closest to you, or maybe your required towels, diapers, tissues, food, or sippy cup. Sippy cups pockets are also included in strollers. You´ll be able to feed your cute and sleepy twins anywhere.

The strollers also have compartments and pockets to store products, creams, medication, toys, and other personal stuff. If one of your twins stops playing with his or her favorite toy, you’ll be able to store it in the stroller and save extra space.

These are some questions you should ask yourself when thinking about buying twin baby strollers.

How Many Wheels Should It Have?

Most strollers have either four or six wheels. The more wheels, the more stable the stroller will be, but it will also be heavier and more difficult to maneuver.

More wheels means also that you’ll be able to handle more weight in the stroller. Consider this, for example, when one of the twins weighs more than the other one.

What Type of Brakes?

There are two types of brakes: foot-operated and hand-operated. Foot-operated brakes are easier to use, but they can be tricky to operate when you’re wearing boots or shoes with heels. Hand-operated brakes are more difficult to use but are much more reliable.

What About Sunshades?

There are two types of sunshades: extendable and fixed. Extendable sunshades offer more protection from the sun, while fixed sunshades are more compact.

What Type of Storage for the stroller?

Strollers come with a variety of storage options, such as baskets, compartments, and cup holders. Consider how much storage you’ll need.

And.. Canopy?

Some canopies are made from mesh, which allows you to see your child, while others are made from fabric, which provides more shade. Consider which type you prefer.

We recommend them for adults with different types of lifestyles and ways to move around with their kids.

Multiple Riding Options for Your Twin Babies Comfort

This Graco stroller is a solid option that empathizes on commodity, for both babies riding the stroller and for the person pushing it. Imagine walking by the sidewalk to your car or your home with both of your twins asleep. This is the stroller for it.

We think that these twin baby strollers are the perfect option for parents who need a solid way to transport their babies. The front seat can recline to a near-flat position, and the large canopy provides plenty of shade.

So don’t worry about the comfort of the babies or the sun on a warm day.

The strollers also come with a bassinet and a toddler seat, which can be used in either a forward or rear-facing position. The front seat can hold up to 50 pounds, whilst the back one holds up to 40.

The strollers are 45 inches tall, and they are easy to fold into a car. Buy a Greco twin babies stroller on Amazon.

If you just found out you’re having twins, there’s probably a lot on your mind, like “What’s my delivery going to be like?” “Will I have two baby boys, two girls, or one of each?” and “How much stuff am I going to need?”

Let’s take one thing off your plate mama and get to planning that adorable twin nursery! From twin cribs to adorable decor, we’ll walk you through some tips for how to set up a twin nursery and give you some cute nursery ideas for inspiration

Twin Nursery Planning

Nursery planning can go from fun to overwhelming in the blink of an eye. Just remember—all you really need is a place for your babies to sleep and some diapers. You don’t need more square footage or an interior designer to create the nursery of your dreams. A little creativity and a big dollop of love and personality go a long way! Here are some things to think of as you design your twin nursery.

Tip #1: Finish Your Twin Nursery in the Second Trimester

During your first trimester, you’re probably tired and maybe even sick. But by your third trimester, you’re probably getting a little uncomfortable. Plus, who knows when your little ones will make their appearance into the world? That’s why it’s a good idea to work on your twin nursery throughout your second trimester.

Your energy levels are high, your baby bump is still manageable, and your weekends aren’t filled up with birthing classes and long naps yet. Try and get at least the essentials (cribs and a changing table) added into your nursery before your third trimester rolls around.

Tip #2: Don’t Buy Two of Everything…

Yes, you’re having two babies. But you don’t actually need two of everything. For example, spending money on two changing tables is just unnecessary. Even if you and your partner are both home, how often are you going to need to change both diapers at the exact same time?

Instead of two changing tables, invest in some added storage space. Skip getting two baby monitors, two gliders, or two dressers, too.

Tip #3: …But Buy Two of Some Things

One thing you really can’t skimp on is two cribs. The American Academy of Pediatrics advises against co-sleeping, even for twin babies, as it may increase the risk of sudden infant death syndrome. This means it’s extremely important to have two cribs, one for each twin. You’ll want one anyways once your babies start rolling around their crib all night long!

If you’re worried about fitting two full-sized cribs in your nursery, consider getting a couple of mini cribs. They’re just as safe as full-sized cribs but at a fraction of the square footage. We love this Delta Children Mini Baby Crib—it’s portable and comes in 4 neutral colors!

You’re also going to want to double up on bibs, onesies, and diapers. Essentially, you’ll want double the supply of anything your twins will use at the same time. While it’s no fun to have to spend twice as much money to clothe your babies, look on the bright side—you’ll get to dress them in adorable twin outfits, like these onesies from TwinStuff.

Tip #4: Buy a Rocker Big Enough for Three

When you’re strategizing your nursery set up, don’t forget to leave space for a rocker or glider. If you’re planning on breastfeeding, consider opting for a double rocker. They’re wider than a regular rocker, which will make it easier to fit you, two babies, and a nursing pillow in it while you’re feeding.

Tip #5: Choose a Baby Monitor with Two Cameras

Split-screen baby monitors are clutch for twin parents! You can get two cameras that connect to the same feed, so you only have to keep track of one screen. We love this monitor from VMAI because it supports up to 4 cameras (in case, you know, you get another surprise at the doctor’s office next time you get pregnant!).

Tip #6: Buy Twin Baby Bedroom Sets for Easy Decorating

If you’re one of those people that loves coordinated furniture, then a twin baby bedroom set might be a good option for you. Most cribs have a matching changing table, dresser, and bookcase that you can purchase. Just add on another crib and you’ll automatically have a full nursery of furniture that looks great together. Best of all, buying a set keeps things simple—because you really don’t have time for anything too complicated.

Twin Crib Decoration Ideas

The crib is the focal point of the nursery, but choosing the perfect one can be difficult. To get you started here are some twin nursery ideas: crib edition.

Black and White

It doesn’t get any more classic than black and white. Pair one black crib with a white one for a timeless effect.

Modern Neutrals

“Neutral” doesn’t have to mean “white.” With midcentury furniture booming, there are tons of natural-looking cribs in various shades of gray, brown, and, yes, white that you could mix and match for your twins. You could even mix textures, with one crib in a neutral metal and another in a muted wood tone.

Barely There Cribs

There’s nothing quite as cool as a ghost crib. When you’re cramming two cribs into a small room, choosing cribs with translucent, acrylic siding can help to make your space feel less cluttered. If you can’t find ghost cribs you love, white furniture has a similar effect!

Bold Colors

If you’re having boy/girl twins, then choosing cribs in pops of bright colors can help to highlight their differences, even from a young age. Babies love bright colors, so make their room a place they’ll love by making it colorful and fun!

Boy/Girl Twin Nursery

We love the matching touches, like the cribs and crib sheets, and the unique flair that comes from the different blankets and boy/girl stuffies.

Twin Boy Nursery with White Furniture

We love a nursery that’s definitely not gender-neutral but doesn’t scream BOY either. This simple nursery from Project Nursery hits the nail on the head with two white cribs, a striped blue window shade, and some boyish decor.

Build the Perfect Twin Nursery for Your Precious Little Ones

The nursery is going to be your babies’ first home, where you change a thousand diapers and snuggle them at all hours. You deserve to have a comfortable, warm space to love on your babies from day 1 to day 1,000.

So stock up on some onesies, grab a can of paint, and let your partner get decorating (blame it on the paint fumes, mama—you deserve a break!). Your beautiful twins will be here before you know it!
